Got them from a nursery they grow naturally in my area gave a try. Doing great second year. Hopefully can propagate and get more growing In the area their native home
I am not sure why so many people say this plant cannot be grown. You just need to make sure the pH is low, (3.5-5.5ish), and the soil is loose. The fungal associations do help the initial startup of the plant, but aren't vital later on. I feel like people only say this to protect the plant, (which I get), but also don't spread misinformation. How do I know this? Because totally legal sources of growers sell this plant. If it was impossible to grow, no one would sell it....esp. for the prices I have seen....
