Delonte West video or Delonte West beat up are a search terms nowadays to find sad images of a man who once played alongside LeBron James in the NBA playoffs. Fans now see him in viral videos as a homeless and sad human being. LeBron James Delonte West is a commonly searched term as well. Videos surfaced in 2020 of Delonte being beaten in the middle of a street and cursing at police. This video tells the tragic story of Delonte West, Delonte West mental illness, the NBA conspiracy about Delonte West and LeBron James' mom, his fall from grace and eventual homelessness.
Delonte West was the 24th overall pick by the Boston Celtics coming out of St. Joseph's in Philadelphia. He played for the Celtics, Mavericks and Cavaliers among various G-League and teams overseas. He once showed enough promise to be named starting shooting guard for the 2009/10 Cavaliers that had the best record in the NBA.
That postseason was the beginning of the end for Delonte West. A rumor that is still talked about today said that West slept with LeBron James' mother Gloria James. LeBron James mom Delonte West was a term searched often. The rumor might have killed the chemistry in the Cavs locker room causing an early exit in those playoffs. LeBron went on the play for the Miami Heat while West began to spiral out of the league.
After 2012 he was done with basketball but started popping up on the internet in troubling ways. Photos appeared to show him homeless and panhandling on the street. His family denied those rumors but it is becoming more and more difficult to believe. These latest videos caused an outcry that could mean West finally gets the help he appears to need.

The officer who filmed him on the curb got suspended. I think he did the right thing. If Delonte sees that video maybe it will inspire him to get help. What do y’all think? ✌🏼

Agreed, if it wasn’t filmed nobody would be talking about it to the scale they are now. It’s good he got this out there. It was for sure the straw that broke the camels back and got the ball rolling for the mental health problems that follow not only ex NBA players but professional athletes as a whole.

A year before my marriage ended, my ex-wife cut off all communication with me. We sat on the opposite ends of the coach and she texted her "friend" from college. I pushed for counseling and was met with pushback. I reached out to mutual friends and family and no one would intervene...no one. Things didn't get better, I step out of my marriage and had an emotional affair with a co worker. When all those that loved me and loved us and wanted to help us but didn't want to intervene in our marriage found out, they chose sides. Didn't give a shot about how I felt, my ex-wife was the victim of my debauchery. Today, I two really good friend that I fuck with, my sons and my mother. Period. Those friends have gotten out of their feelings as events have transpired and they now she my ex wife of the P.O.S. she has always been. They have tried to mend broken fences with me, but I am not interested, not at all. At the end of the day, I would much rather share crumbs with bums than eat steaks with snakes.

@@pinkgal206 And you think that I have somehow hid from this. I shared my testimony because the theme of mental well-being ran parallel with that of Delonte West. A person's mental health is the only asset and self love that one needs to be fully functional in society. Delonte needs help and I would gladly offer such given my experience ove the last year....period. With that said @Pink Gal it must be mighty high up there looking down on us from above the clouds. Your shit stinks. You make mistakes and you don't always color in the lines, so keep the side commentary to yourself boo. I have made mistakes and I am a better man for it. Drag me down all you want, I won't stay there. If you are going to offer something constructive then do such. oh man, that's a very timely video. I think in Delonte's situation, someone close to him or a good friend who cares, actually needs to take him by force to the rehabilitation clinic. This is what happened when Steve-O locked up in his apartment all drugged up and suicidal in the 2000s and was about to do some crazy stunt by jumping with a motorbike from the 7h floor but luckily his good friend Johny Knoxville came with some men and took him by force, and thank God, Steve-O is doing well today and is happy with his life, not drinking again or using drugs. So, you just can't wait for Delonte to decide to seek help because he can't comprehend anymore what's happening around him, and he's at a high risk of dying.

Both of you are stupid. Obviously there are multiple reasons he could be in handcuffs and context is missing from the video. He could have been combative with the cops, considering he is suffering from severe mental illness, and he just got done fighting someone. For all we know he was the one that started the fight with the guy on camera and continued being combative when the cops arrived. Don’t talk trash when you don’t understand the FULL story. Also when someone is suffering from severe mental illness and they happen to say they are depressed or want to hurt themselves or others they are put in handcuffs for THEIR OWN safety and safety of others around.

It is sometimes difficult for someone with serious mental health issues to come to grips with their condition or illness. In addition, having come from very humble beginnings and skyrocketing to that type of success and all the money, fame, and pressure that comes along without the proper guidance can have a spiraling impact. Then, when your family openly denies your illness and spends more time trying to do damage control, then helping is just as detrimental.

I hope that he will accept the help being offered to him.He just lost his way but I believe there’s always hope .People can be very cruel until it happens to their loved ones .All we can do is pray for he and his family. He’s a father and I know that he’s needed by that kid.Sometimes as fans we forget that those guys are human ,and they to have issues .God Bless Delonte ‼️

I don’t like the idea of any person suffering like this but at the same time Im not surprised. He’s abused drugs, slept with his teammates mom, been arrested for possession of firearms, gets involved in stupid fights like this and has seemingly pissed away $16 million and any nba contacts willing to help him get back on his feet. I sincerely hope he can change and be better than this but he almost appears too far gone at this point. Its particularly tragic because most people with mental illness are not given even 10% of the resources this man had in order to better himself. Many are born and die in poverty and never had a chance.

Don’t be dumb. Denying that you have a disorder and refusing treatment is very common for Bipolar Disorder. I’ve seen it many times over in my field.

LeBron, if Delonte and your mom did what was rumored that was between two adults. You didn't abandon your mom don't do it to Delonte. Go get your homie, you might be the only person who can reach him if you tell him you forgive him.

Most people that are bipolar do not take there meds because of the illness itself, plus it doesn’t have the same affect as the years go on.

I don’t care what any of you say I grew up poor, struggled, picked on, live with roaches like they was family, my family had nothing, been through a lot always had anger problems always fighting for no reason drinking smoking weed, but I had a son and turned everything around, now I have brand new car, a house and good job. Stop making a excuses! You can turn your life around you just to have a strong mindset and pray! Never give up but i guess some people are built different I feel sorry for no one. Hard work dedication!

This the sad case of a black man not addressing his mental health issues. I work with psych patients and a majority of them are balck men. As a black man that has dealt and still dealing with mental health issues I urge this young man to work and keep working on his mental health issues. I applaud him for working with the homeless and I am reaching out to him personally. If anyone reading this knows this young man, please I am down here and Charlotte and would love to do my part to see Delonte work past this and maintain his mental well being.

its sad that when trouble happens the first thing ppl do is grab their phone. not try to see what they can do to help, but grab their phone, not to call the police, but to record the events. FOH!

The saddest part about this is there's people all over the world that are homeless drug addicts and noone gives a crap about them. They never get a video like this that people can see and feel sorry for them and potentially help them. So we focus on a once millionaire basketball player that had it all, and is now in a position that isn't so pretty, feeling sorry for him because he's got a drug problem and mental health issues? Screw the rest of the other millions of struggling Americans, we need to get delonte help because he was in the NBA.

yap. mental illness is real. im one of the example. i literally throw very rich fiance from very rich family and quit my promising manager career, and shut myself down. now im alone. dont have any steady job. stay at my house most of the time. not talking to anyone. i literally swap my life 180 degree from very good to very bad in one night.

We can only hope and pray that this man gets the kind of help he obviously needs. However, we MUST be cognizant of the fact that he can, as an individual, though sick, can refuse treatment and has the final say in what happens to him. Anything else, in terms of getting him help has to go through his wife, with HIS knowledge and participation... he has to sign to give permission to make decisions for him. I know it because my family is dealing with the same thing. Persistence and love will go a long way.
