Delta 16: Product Walk Through 

I have the Delta 17 and must say it's a great boat for the price. I have no problem getting to the bungees (there are raised and indented spots to grab, and the deck lines are easy to grab from the water if needed). I haven't needed to do any repairs, but having done considerable repair to old Royalex laminated ABS canoes, I'm sure this laminated ABS/acrylic would also be easily fixed with epoxy and glass. Maybe not as pretty a repair as a 'glass boat that cost twice as much, but certainly easier than a polyethylene kayak (which would also be heavier, and probably more impact resistant than both thermoform or glass). Material aside, I think the Delta designs are great, features are great, comfort is great, and overall they are excellent boats for just about everyone. I have a 'glass boat that retails for twice the price and in some ways I prefer the Delta.

I have owned a half dozen Delta kayaks. They are superb craft and perform well. The only drawback that I have had is that the 2mm seat back adjustment cord slips at the attachment clip. There is simple too much pressure on a thin line to be help by a small plastic piece. Other manufacturers use 1" nylon strapping and a cam cleat.

Where's the cup holder for your beer? I mean bottle of water......

They put a groove at the bungees to make ribs to reinforce the deck. Try picking up the bungees in a groove.

Thermoform is hard to do any major repairs.
