"The demand has come back faster that anyone ever anticipated, so the pressure to get those planes in the sky coupled with the weakness of the supply chain has created this massive logjam."

Believe it or not Ed is one of the best airline CEOs out there. He knows what he’s doing

Guys, his salary is $33M a year and his work is to repeat the good language on different interview or board meetings, easy money!!!

Easy money? Sure about that?

You don’t know what you’re talking about. His salary is 14mm a year. He received a ONE TIME bonus of 20mm after Covid which was paid out over TWO years. At NO TIME has his salary been anywhere close to 34mm a year. Get your facts straight.

I'd like to see Boeing succeed. Hopefully Mollenkopf will be able to tap a skilled engineering-oriented c-suite to take over where Calhoun failed.

start using more widebodies on domestic US routes

You can do it some places but it's a logistics problem. Everything from wingspan in the gate area , towbars, training employees. Especially etops programs. You can't even pour oil into an engine without going to school on the airplane for 3 weeks.

@@ashantedula5696 this is eye opening. I guess it really is too complex to solve quickly.

@lfalquer in Baltimore we can barely park 757s next to each other due to the wingspan

They need them both so they can negotiate better prices from each side. He really doesn’t care about either company. If one company dominates they don’t need to lower prices to win orders…plain and simple.

How about the #EMBRAER 195-E2, why not to Lease i?

It's too heavy to use for the regionals due to delta pilot scope in the contract. It would be difficult for Delta to make money on the plane with a delta employed crew.

If you have the A220 you can have the E2-195 as well.

Solution is easy, BUY AIRBUS🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️ I don’t know what innovation this dude is talking about with all the failures and accidents of Boeing

He's not wrong. Airbus produces aircrafts for hundreds of airlines in the world. He just can't rely on the limited capacity to meet Delta's demand

Poor airlines. Poor things. Raked in billions of PROFITS in 2023 and still not enough. Boycott all airlines immediately.
