I saw an interesting thing someone brought up. Noelle mentions "exploring the woods behind the graveyard," and someone stitched together some screens to show that the place behind the graveyard is the section of town blocked off by police tape. Just an interesting connection

With Noelle's calendar, given that all other items are meant to be from the search results of the rooms' owners-- It's likely that Noelle's been obsessively searching up **December Holiday** in an attempt to find information about her missing (or otherwise declared deceased) sister.

5:00 the date is actually christmas, and because the rooms in queen's mansion are all based on the character's search history, we could infer that noelle was searching "December holiday" over and over again. maybe dess went missing?

One quick thing I see most people missing, the banana isn’t just a random joke, it’s subverting your expectations of a racing section in a video game: Usually in these type of games, such as Mario kart, hitting cars would be negative, and hitting bananas would slow you down. But in deltarune, the queen actively encourages these things and the banana gives you POTASSIUM. Keep up the great work Left Thumbs!

“Is Ice-E real cryptid” is a reference to how kris told Noelle that “Ice-E is real and eats kids”

There’s one Easter egg you missed. When you enter the hospital, there’s a toy on your left. At the end of a regular run, the flavor text is: “The beads of the toy march on.” At the end of a Snowgrave Run, the flavor text is: “It’s a toy with beads on a track. One of the blue beads is broken and torn off.”

The peace sign pose is a reference to EarthBound when the Photo Guy randomly shows up and Ness gives them a peace sign, sometimes facing the completely wrong way from the camera

Kris: Noelle, would it be weird if our dads started dating? Noelle: I...my parents...are still married...???? Kris: *Not what I asked.*

Another funny thing about the Susie-liie statue: On the Agree2All puzzle in cyber field, after you tell Queen you won't be her peon, she says she'll still use your image, which she does by making the Susie statue

If you hug Ralsei during the boat ride, then fight Spamton Neo, he'll hug Kris when he notices they're in distress after the fight.

That "how about a kiss, for luck" a reference to everybody's favorite Zelda game, "Link, the Faces of Evil" in which Link says the same thing to Zelda, much to the same result.

When you spell out December, one of the times she goes behind a wall and you see her outline, she reverts to a child form. I found this pretty cool.

I recently learned after washing your hands if you check the shower it points the apple shampoo is lighter, and in the sofa when choosing Ralsei for who you wanna go with to the carnival, after Susie mentions apples she says "Apple shampoo?... No I never eaten that stuff!", Clearly, she drank Kris' shampoo while she was in the bathroom.

Man, I like Toriel, but the fact that she never actually said hi to Kris on Asgore's behalf like she said she would really doesn't sit right with me. Even if she doesn't like him, I feel like she should at least try to be respectable.

There's a cool little theory which I think is a fairly good explanation for Dess. You know how everything in Queen's mansion rooms is personalised and from people's search results? The calendar with only 25th of December might come from a search "December Holiday". Since there is no gravestone for her in Hometown, it's very likely Dess is missing rather than deceased, and it would make a LOT of sense for Noelle to search for information regarding her lost sister on the internet.

Two things about Toriel that are not really Easter Eggs but still funny or interesting to know: Firstly, as you said in the last video, if you leave Toriels house after giving her Asgores flowers, the "flowery scent of the trashcan has increased" after you come back in. However, this is also the case if you give her the flowers, dont leave the house, go to sleep and load your chapter 2 with that save. When you come downstairs after Toriel wakes you up, itll have that line on the trashcan as well. Secondly, this might have been pretty obvious to a lot of people, but when Susie goes to sleep over at Kris' house, Toriel tells her she can sleep on the couch and says "its been used to having people sleep on it", very casually implying to basically a stranger the fact that Asgore had to sleep on the couch before he moved out 😬 I feel so bad for him lmao

In chapter 1 in toriels classroom, I'm pretty sure there was a stack of chairs called the throne of the gods. The pile of table in the mansion room with the hanging water bottle says it would require the throne of the gods to sit at.

While spelling December in the cyber city with Noelle, there is a part where it uses the outline of Noelle in the spelling bee instead of Noelle’s normal outline, further showing the impact its had on Noelle

When Susie turns Berdly down saying he looks terrible, Berdly says “Ah, such dere… is tsun, to my ears”. He is referencing an anime archetype called a “tsundere” which is basically a girl who is cold and mean at first, but warms up over time.

Whenever the "man" gives you an egg, I believe the game is talking about everyman. Everyman is supposed to represent a bird embryo, and birds lay eggs, and it just doesn't make sense for gaster to give Kris an egg.

The Swatchling's comment in the cafe offering a cup of Earl Grey tea implies that, at the very, the UK exists in Deltarune, and the Prime Minister we know as Earl Grey has existed at some point. Or maybe there is a different Earl Grey. Either way, the Prime Minister of Great Britain and Ireland is a canonical Deltarune character alongside sans the skeleton. And no one may convince me otherwise.

The Asgore cutscene is a lot more depressing if Sans does know about Undertale. Imagine seeing your poor old king in one world reduced to the life he has there.

You get a different robot power based on what robot head you choose for the thrash machine. Ie: firemode, lasermode, gunmode, ect. And they all have different abilities on the punch power and beginning punch

21:05 what do you wanna bet that with each upcoming chapter a new bookshelf will be available to us? After all, there's four more bookshelves and five more chapters. It could be that it'll be building up background information until the last chapter.

During the cyber world December puzzle with Noelle, at one point when she goes behind a building (i think around the B), she switches her sprite to the young Noelle sprite used in the berdly spelling bee section. I'm not sure what kind of lore implications it has, but this definitely helps to bring together those two moments.

The stuff in all the mansion bedrooms are ripped from misinterpreted search results. So the calendar likely comes from Noelle's repeated searches of "December Holiday". Queen/Swatchlings didn't know she was searching for her sister, so they just put a calendar with Christmas on every day.

Something that I find kinda neat about the route where berdly messes up his right arm is that in the dark world, it’s blacked out and largely static, and in the light world, his right arm doesn’t move when he’s walking out of the computer lab. There are a bunch of sprites of berdly and his fried chicken wing that we don’t see in the game, so it gives me hope that we’ll be seeing him and noelle return to the dark world in the future

The baseballs are likely based on Dess, who is mentioned to have hit Kris with a wiffleball bat.

The fact that you can fill all the seats with Swatchlings to get a butler cafe, combined with Tasque Manager’s complaint of wanting an animal cafe, makes me wonder if she says anything special if you fill all the seats with Tasques.

The mention of "someone big enough" when interacting with the closet is probably referring to the idea that the knight had been waiting in the closet for berdly and noelle to come in so he could open the dark fountain

Isn't it strange how many times Toby referenced the everyman from reaper bird's attack? Maybe the reaper bird or everyman will play a big role in future chapters seeing as there is no gravestone for reaper bird in the overworld.

The old eletronics closet in the library is actually the mansion's basement, where you get the old machine for Spamtom. Makes sense because Kris tends to go alone there, since only a single person can fit inside. Because it's filled with old electronics, there's probably a hard drive of an old computer lying around with the old machine file inside it. My theory is that Happstablook used to go to the library and either doodled their dream NEO body in a drawing app or used to keep their diaries on a file. Then probably the computer became obsolete and replaced by a new one.

I just noticed at roughly 12:04 that Berdly says "Only a kiss from a beautiful gamer girl can save me" and he's actually on Queens mouth. Edit:Another thing, when Berdly talks about the spelling bee he quotes "She got nervous and couldn't speak." meaning she FROZE which is either a reference to the SnowGrave route or how she's a deer and deers freeze when they see head lights.

The susie-like statue is a reference to earlier in the game. When you complete the typing puzzle spelling out "agree2all" Queen mentions she'll use the heroes' likenesses for the purpose of statues and such. Susie refuses to be a minion, and Queen says she's still going to use her likeness.

i think dess is just off to uni, like asriel, except she left earlier. also, i love how when you pick "rude gesture" for the photo, kris' arm disappears, reflecting them holding it up to the camera and flipping it off.

I like how Toby fox has two easter egg characters (three if you think Gaster counts). One is himself and the other is Everyman and Everyman is everywhere while also being nowhere and no one.

The "Barrels falling from the ceiling, we have to smash them with karate chops" thing Swatch mentions could also be a reference to Street Fighter 2, which has that happen in a Bonus Stage.

I honestly thought the captive audience remark was not just about flowey but the flowers at asgores that resemble the fallen humans who's souls were kept captive by asgore.

I found another easter egg: in undertale, in the tem village there is a tem watching an egg, saying it's a proud parent the tem also says the egg will hatch one day, and if you interact with the egg it will say it's an hard-boiled egg in the prison room where queen put susie, you can see susie had a search query about hard-boiled eggs being able to hatch

Btw, it could be that Dess/"December", being an older sibling, broke with the rest of her family on Christmas Day due to some argument or disagreement, and kinda vanished into the ether as a result. Maybe something to do with how some folks portray Noelle's mom (the mayor?) as super strict and stuff, which might prove to be a seed for such a bout of strife between family members. Also, with Noelle's older sister absent, and how close Noelle and Kris used to be, it could also be a source of anxiety for Kris given _their_ older brother, Asriel, has been gone for so long...

If you hug Ralsei during the picture taking on The Swan ride, this changes his reaction to the postfight dialogue with Spamton Neo, In which he will now hug Kris when attempting to comfort them.

There's an interaction with the Hacker that you missed when you talked about him a few videos ago. If you exit the room in the Queen Mansion with the secret switch that opens the path to the basement after pressing the button and come back, he will have some new dialogue. He talks about hacking in Super Smashing Fighter to put in his favorite cartoon characters, referencing the people asking for their favorite characters to be added in Smash Bros.

In the snowgrave Berdly fight Noelle's hp drains to 55, in Roman numerals 55 is LV

Funny that the soul book talks about human souls as a source of compassion. If I remember a book in Undertale talked about humans not needing compassion to have souls.

The peace sign photo is an Earthbound reference especially with them looking straight at the screen.

About that baseball/soccer ball thing, Jockington in in chapter 1 apparently printed off a million pictures of a soccer ball and threw them in the trash in the computer room (the ones that says spam emails were printed off) and I guess that means he printed off just soccer balls but painted them to look like other sport balls?? Also spamton's room is the room that later becomes jockington's room, Also also in the files of the games there are 7 face cards for Jockington that all look exactly the same. Either this is some cryptic meta lore, or some really weird inside joke, either way, we shouldn't be over looking this.

All the baseball references could be about Dess. As Noelle says: "Dess smacked you with a wiffle bat." meaning that her sister might have been a baseball fan. Maybe just as the Queen reflects her mother, the world reflects her sister. Also, if Dess would be death they most probably would not talk to her as easily. She is probably lost since lost is a current topic with Noelle and "December Holiday" must be the search that gets to the 25th of December, meaning that she searches for her sister online a lot.

TIL the ancient roots of “Font” means “spring”, or “fountain” This is no mere coincidence, as we can see Kris can create fountains using his soul power, just as much as we can close them

If you go back to the rooms that the Queen put you in and interact with Asriel`s room when you have Susie with you she says that you better hope she never meets him. I wondered what this meant until I remembered the beginning of the game when you interact with the bookshelf on (your) left of the cactus. When you check this bookshelf the text says "How to draw dragons is at the bottom of the drawer". "The PURPLE character on the cover is dressed... immodestly." Your brother will never return this book." The two instances my not correlate but I found it interesting.

Hey wonderful video again! One thing I’ve noticed that no one talks about is the similarity between the two hidden bosses, Jevil and Spamton. The two of them are, quite obviously, insane. Now I’m not a video game theorist or anything, but it’s definately interesting to look into in my opinion. Thanks again!

If there is another one for chapter 2, I just want to point out that before lancer tells you Rouxls jumped out you can actually see him jump out when kris and Susie are transforming into their dark world forms you can see a little star thing which is the same as when you bring all the chapter 1 characters to castle town, and so this one in the cyber world is presumably Rouxls. Also when talking to sweet, cap’n and k_k they say that they got a job off a small, weird that wanted them to break into the mansion and this would probably be Spamton. Then they say they got a job off of a guy that was really sophisticated and k_k couldn’t understand him, and so we can guess that this is Rouxls.

Something I’m surprised no one else pointed out, in the soul book the line about souls being the container of one’s life force is probably a reference to the Zelda series, sense souls in Deltarune look like hearts and hearts are the icon for health in Zelda games, with heart containers being what increases your max health

i dont know if you already covered this but apparently if you dont hit any cars in the area before spamton there is a little car by the great door

In older versions of the "december" room, it was much smaller and would only spell out "dember"

I think there's some unused dialog at the swan boat ride, the dialog choice before Rouxls, which should be affected by the gift choices but it's bugged.... or maybe Toby just remove it or something I think it should affect Susie's room too if I remember correctly

It says "the room between" and that doesn't only allude to the egg room but to the door between other doors. It's situated in the alley towards the moss room. Edit 2: is it possible that the flowers Asgore is keeping from withering away are actually the flowers Toriel had in her bouquet on their wedding day? If you call a bird's wing an arm, you're correct. You're correct either way because the front limbs of all vertebrates are anatomically arms. The exact same arm anatomy we have exists in horses, dogs, birds, bats, dolphins, seals, frogs, etc. Even ray-finned fishes have the basal bones of our arms, that's also why ray-finned fishes and lobe-finned fishes all have two pectoral fins (arms) and two pelvic fins (legs). A bird's wing is just an arm evolved for flight, a horse's front limb is an arm evolved for walking, a dolphin's flipper is an arm evolved for maneuvering through water. Now, Birdley isn't a bird taxonomically. He might be a monster who looks like a bird, but he still cladistically ISN'T a bird because a bird is an animal who belongs to the class Aves, while he is not that. For example, a human is an ape, a bird is a dinosaur, a dinosaur is a reptile but is not a lizard, a Dimetrodon is neither a reptile or a mammal but a protomammal. A hexapod dragon (4 arms, 2 legs) would not be a lizard or a reptile at all due to the fact that a dragon has 6 limbs, something completely unseen in vertebrates. A dragon would have to exist on a sister phylum to all other vertebrates which would require an entirely separate evolutionary tree. Yes, I am specialised in this sort of stuff HAHAHA.

When you reach queens mansion, queen says to Noelle that "If she didn't come over a bird would take a ride in the acid river." This is referring to the swan boat.

Two small Easter eggs: -In the final mech boss fight, doing a full crit punch (timing the hit on the line) will do 255 damage. This is a computer easter egg being related to the computer/internet themed world as 255 is the maximum number for 8 bits of memory. It was used in a lot of games back in the day. Going over 255 would cause an integer overflow and revert back to 0 -In Chapter 1, looking into the computer room it details that the dog is working and when he's done you can go in, but it quite literally meant you will go into the computer room for chapter 2

i like to think that the animation noelle does when crossing roads is based on the phrase "a deer in headlights"

22:00 I noticed that in chapter 1, the blue and yellow guy was blocking the upstairs. Now, in chapter 2, he’s blocking all but the first two books. I think that with each subsequent chapter, he’ll move a little further to the left and we’ll be able to read more about human souls. Keep in mind, too, that prior to Deltarune, he only existed as a Gaster follower, so he has significance for sure.

Further supporting some of the comments mentioning that, since the calendar is a search result from Noelle, it's likely that Dess is missing rather than known to be dead. If you check Noelle's closet in her room in Queen's mansion, Susie comments that they don't look like the sort of clothes she thought Noelle would like to wear. Which is reminiscent of how last sightings of missing persons tend to include what clothes they were wearing, so those might be her sister's clothes and Noelle is trying to find out if anyone has seen her.

Spontanious thought: what if Asgore is lonely and has no-one to speak to because he's the cause of December's death? Maybe he was clumsily driving. I think his car by the flower store is rusty and barely used, right? Maybe Toriel divorced and keeps away from him because of it? Idk, really dark theory. But maybe? :0

15:28 this might be a reference to Tails' super form in Sonic 3 and Knuckles, where 4 birds circle arround Tails just like the ducks. Maybe its a bit if a stretch tho

im pretty sure the health bar for giga queen is a reference to the health bars of the kingdom hearts series

-ralsei will still talk in the queen fight if he's down -check out the queen dialogue in your town if you haven't recruit everyone (Also the kings)

So far, i've never seen someone mention this before...but during the little "December" spelling puzzle noelle and kris were doing, Noelle turns into her young self when going behind one of those walls, i've already seen it twice or more in the game, i hope i'm not the only one who noticed it

Clicked Faster Then Noelle Choked Berdly

There is actually one extra dialogue bit after Asgore visits Sans' store. Talking to the cat who is looking at the expiration dates on the milk carton will cause them to comment about how they cannot check the cartons in peace because Kris' parents agitate the cat.

I just love the subtleties of the Snowgrave route. Noelle becoming more confident and her animation changing when she enters a fight, her character sprite moving as she contemplates stepping off the button to kill Kris, enemies running away from you as you coerce Noelle kill more and more, and above all the fact that you as the player never kill anyone directly, meaning technically for you the game still sees you as the good guy, something that never happens in the Genocide Route

I got the Everyman all the time, making the fight too easy Oh and your manlyness is like way more than mine
