It would be pretty cool if you actually only controlled kris' soul and was forced to attack, but since you can move around you can try your best to not let your attacks hit your party members

A fun play on the phrase "living in your brother's shadow", huh? What I like about this song is, while it's definitely full of energy, it's absolutely brimming with desperation. This is clearly meant to be a scary encounter. Like the Knight took the fight to you and you were not prepared to face it. In that way, it reminds me of Your Best Nightmare a little, which I suppose is apt given the choice of who you decided to be The Knight.

There isn't alot of fan made themes for this character so it's always nice to see stuff like this. Hearing Nightmare Knight in this makes me wonder if Toby will add it in The Knight's theme when we eventually fight them.

This is so lovely, I really like Catti's design being an occult member since she mentions it in chapter 2 :) very fitting and the music is great!! I think the leitmotifs are Nightmare Night, Megalo Strikeback, The legend, Gaster's theme, world revolving/secret boss theme, Don't forget, His theme, and I think there's a recurring theme inspired by the opening to Your best nightmare as well? It's all super well done truly, like damn o-o

I've always envisioned a scene where the knight just fucking annihilates everyone on-screen because they're close to finding out who he might be

I can totally imagine a scene where asriel rips us out of kris with some badass one-liner

I like to think my prediction is that the KNIGHT is actually the scrapped vessel from the beginning of the game. It was supposed to be the star of the story, but got replaced with Kris instead. It’s now enraged and wants revenge.

Absolutely love this take on the Knight's theme, love that it incorporates Nightmare Knight as well! Was just curious as to what instruments were used in it. Of course, I'm not asking for a full list of all sf2's you used, but was just curious if you were inspired from any game's instruments in particular? Thought I'd mention as well, the pixel art looks real cool as well! - Just noticed the dead pixel in the left corner, gotta have that, it's iconic

The little tracey effects on The Knight's sprite makes me yearn to see it floating around like Asriel's initial phase in Undertale, minus the rainbow background bit. The simple blue platform and black void make The Knight 10x more imposing.

I can see the huge inspiration of Toby Fox's Knightmare Night lol. I will say I love the 'The Legend' section a lot better but thats because I feel it really nails the "if there was to be a Knight Boss and it wasnt against Kris, this would be the theme". Id love to see what would happen if you went more in that direction if you were up for it

Feels very reminiscent of Kirby's Dreamland 3 in the soundfont and style. I really dig it, I also noticed the inspiration from "Nightmare Knight".

I like to imagine that in this fight, you're still the one controlling Kris, and you have no choice but to fight them. You can see Noelle, Susie, and Catty take their turns, but you have no control over the buttons they press.

Nightmare Knight sounds like Kirby music, and so every good mashup with it has that feel. This one has it, and I love it.

I wonder what spells Catti will be able to use.

My favorite part is definitely 0:25 to 0:50. The dreamlike, almost hazy-ish instruments leading up to a guitar solo is perfect. Seriously, I hope we get a boss in Deltarune that uses those „Dreamlike“ instruments, it’s really unique and makes the song stand out from other USTs.

Masterfully done with the instrumental separation. Most retro sounding music I hear now a days is too flat so it's hard to make out the individual components.

Really good! I will note that its odd that you put Catti as the main player character, I feel like Susie is the most likely to take over primary in this scenario.

One of my favorite ideas that I’ve thought of is the red soul kris discards getting ripped out of him for good and placed inside someone else, and us having to save him. Maybe that’s the implication here with cathy. I’ve always wondered if a person can retain their ability to speak normally when having the soul in them, like imagine talking to Susie as the soul and explaining that you’ve just been trying your best to do good.

I LOVE how you had parts of Nightmare Knight in the song since I can realistically see Toby taking inspiration from that old song of his and adding it into the game.

Smells like the final battle

Concepts: The Knight and Kris take turns attacking. You can't dodge attacks dealt by Kris. If you try to attack the knight, he gets out of the way and it hits Kris. You still use Kris' SOUL to dodge attacks. ACTs done to The Knight don't do much outside of their first usage, which amplifies the characters' MAGIC abilities, similarly to the King fight. Similarly to the Spamton NEO fight, you can snap Kris' wires, and if all of them are snapped, they regain full control over themselves (or rather, you regain control of Kris) and they fight alongside the rest of the gang. Killing Kris results in a GAME OVER, but the game continues to play out afterwards, essentially locking you into the fight until you eventually die (the fight will never end once Kris dies, and you can't dodge attacks without their SOUL).

The attention to detail on the picture is great, even the stray pixel is here! Amazing Knight theme too!

Hell yeah seeing Asriel, as the knight gives me chills, since it’s what i really want to happen mainly so he can become a holy paldian party member since he can’t be the main villain again, and he deserves the screen time the man needs it, also he’s looking like Kris’s, stand power by the way he’s floating lol we just need Kris, pointing with dark aura around him, but i can see Noelle, actually helping him rediscover himself, and make him start to crack the darkness, then Kris, breaks free and hugs him, causing him to break down into tears, and for his outfit to turn white, and green, or blue for happiness since, or purple because that’s associated with the dreemurr’s, then it says Asriel The Soaring Holy Paladin, joins the party, after he collects himself, then either the final dark world, or a couple depending on when we face him down i can honestly see it just depending when we cross paths, who knows, but this is hyping me up, also this is a banger great work.

This is probably my favorite Deltarune song and its not even an official song. I think part of it is the tension of the song matches the scenerio depicted in the picture perfectly. It just perfectly establishes the seriousness of the situation where Kris's friends are trying desperately to free them from the knight.

One thing that intrigues me is the structure of the song, it vaguely in pattern resembles hopes and dreams, with the main melody being played with the chip instrument and then a guitar afterwards.

Perfect.... It would be such a coincidence if this was actually lore of the next game

Though I refuse to accept playable Catti not wielding Jockington as a weapon, or Ralsei not being part of this fight for that matter. Also, please stop the Kris abuse, first you literally hang them and then you sic a t-posing salesman on them. They suffer more in this video than in the first two chapters combined :(
