In the last 8 years the government of Turkey has built over 500,000 earthquake safe homes in Turkey using the Tunnel Form building method. After the last big earthquake in Izmit where over 17,000 lives where lost the best method for safe and quick construction was chosen...tunnel form. Proof that this method is the very best method of mass building for economic and earthquake safe construction was proven in the recent October 2011 Van area earthquake which rated 7.2 on the Richter scale. Although the epicenter was in a low population area hundreds of homes and buildings were destroyed. The 5,700 tunnel form built homes suffered absolutely no damage. The government of Turkey is commissioning the construction of 500,000 more tunnel form homes over the next 6 years.
