Nothing makes me happier than seeing a cat who feels safe and loved. While he is no longer among you, take comfort in knowing that you gave him a pleasant life many cats could never dream of.
THANK YOU ALL YOUR LOVE AND KIND WORDS!!! WE LOST HUGGY ON DEC 16, 2014. IT'S COMFORTING TO KNOW THAT HE IS LOVED BY OVER A MILLION PEOPLE FROM OVER THE WORLD ON RU-vid!! REST IN PEACE MY DEAR DEAR FRIEND, MY LITTLE BUDDY. I FOUND A POEM BELOW FOR HIM AND TO SHARE WITH THOSE WHO UNDERSTAND THE CONNECTION WE HAD WITH HUGGY: Four Feet in Heaven Your favorite chair is vacant now... No eager purrs to greet me. No softly padded paws to run Ecstatically to meet me. No coaxing rubs, no plaintive cry Will say it's time for feeding. I've put away your bowl, and all The things you won't be needing; But I will miss you little friend, For I could never measure The happiness you brought me, The comfort and the pleasure. And since God put you here to share In earthly joy and sorrow; I'm sure there'll be a place for you In Heaven's bright tomorrow... - Alice E. Chase
I'm so sorry for you loss I just stumbled across this heartening video nearly 6 years after you made it, and laughed at Huggy's demanding affection. Maybe it helps a bit to know that we've all lost loving pets and understand.
Sorry to hear that...Just now he made me smile and Then after reading your message I'm sad again..May his soul rest in peace...Adorable and cute kitty Huggy
I am so sorry abt Huggy. We lost our 17 year old girl , Udo, on 13th Dec 2014. How old was he? I know how tough it must be for you. God bless. Thank you for sharing this beautiful video with us.
I lost my best friend last year in March. She was almost 23 years old, and I had her since she was a six week old kitten. I'm still very sad today. When they leave you it feels like they take a part of you.
Awwwwww...WHOA 23 YEARS..Man that's a LONG TIME for a CAT to LIVE..I had My LADY Black Lab for a BLESSED 15 YEARS..She Was 3 Months OLD and I was 3 YEARS OLD..WE LITERALLY Grew up TOGETHER..Two WEEKS before I was to go AWAY to College at U.CL.A...I had to Put Her To REST..After I TOOK HER Collar/Leash My SLEEPING Bag and Cried Myself to SLEEP Rite in Front of Tower #5 at the DOG BEACH rite here in OCEAN BEACH SAN Diego CALI..That Was Our FAVORITE Spot to Watch the SUNSET..that was August '84 and Still Cry Over Her TODAY..You're Absolutely Rite..When One if Our 4 LEGGED FAMILY MEMBERS Passes on..They INDEED Take a LIL PIECE of Us With THEM 🐈🐶✌✌
It's hard when they're gone....I lost a cat of mine this February.....I raised him from the time he was born, and *man* were the two of us closer than you could imagine! When he passed....I, too felt like a part of me was lost that day....I almost contemplated not getting another cat, not wanting to go through that again, but a friend of mine gave me a kitten, who, when I received him, was only six weeks old....Just a little guy! Now, he's about three months old! It has cheered me up, somewhat, but I still miss my other cat....I probably always will! However, I have found that he lives on my mind, due to the memories I have of his crazy, funny antics! In closing, I'd like to express my condolences to everyone else who has lost their furry little feline friends....May they live on in your hearts!
You have people who say "Oh, get over it. It's a cat".....It's always so hard to let them go when the time comes....And with every death, they take a little bit of you with them. You're never quite the same after that and the pain never completely subsides. It's always there. Sometimes the pain is front and center other times its looming in the background. But, years and years later- it's never completely gone. I guess the point is, to love them while they're here. Give them the best life possible. And when your time comes, hope for some sort of reunion. With every cat that I've ever had, I'm a better person for having known them. Sorry for your loss.
They wait. They wait and they watch, until the moment when you MOST need to get something done then they wont leave you alone.. This technique is in every How to be a Cat manual.
Tears are streaming down my face and I'm crying like a baby right now. Watching the kitty get the attention and affection he was seeking was so adorable and heart warming. But then I started reading the comments and I see he's passed away and that's heart breaking. I lost my baby Charlie not too long ago and I miss his hilarious kitty antics and feeling his little paws on my lap everyday. The love of a good cat is never forgotten. Sending you hugs and peaceful thoughts.
+JAMES BOND Pets become a part of the family and bring so much joy into our lives. They're here only for a short time so all we can do is cherish them and love them while they're here.
+Isabela Evangelista Thank you. My Charlie was white with blue eyes. He was a tiny 10 week old kitten when I adopted him and 10 months old when I had to have him put to sleep. He was diagnosed with an incurable intestinal disease he got from his mom. It breaks my heart remembering our last car ride together to the vet and then riding home without him, I was out of work for 2 days because I couldn't stop crying. I try to focus on all the adorable things he did to crack me up, how sweet and affectionate he was, he'd follow me to every room of the house and sleep with me at night. I'd pick him up, cradle him like a baby and nuzzle his nose an he'd close his eyes and purr. I loved him so much, I think about him all the time.
Soon it will be the 2nd anniversary of Huggy's death....Thank you all for sharing your thoughts and prayers. We will re-read all the loving and touching comments posted here to honor the memory of Huggy. Thank you for keeping Huggy alive in our daily lives!
Married men already have one problem of a lifetime, fighting and satisfying their wife. That itself is a big task for men, how much men should endure.😁😁
Man you are one important human to him; don't forget, the most pure love in the universe comes from cats and dogs. We are the most important things in their little lives.
Iboshdio Müller Yes, and neither did my father. Thanks for your sympathy; I am now 53 years old and have finally rid myself of all the contempt I have had for my parents and man, it feels good. Cats have loved me since my beginning and always gave me solace and for that I am eternally grateful.
Pipe Duster .... I am so very sorry for your immense loss... they are our best friends ... family members... the loss is equivalent and just as impactful. You will be in my thoughts and I will pray that you might be comforted during this very difficult time.
herecalico I have one doing exactly the same thing as I watch this video... but she is the best little kitty and her days are probably numbered in the smaller digits.. She is about 14 maybe 15 years old.. so each day with her is a blessing.. no matter how demanding she is.. After all, she is just wanting love .. : ]
Some Guy. What are you trying to say? They said they hate kids, many people do, including myself. And I don’t disagree with you on the men comment... except cats do tend to show more affection that most men.
@Some Guy There is no solid, scientific evidence - psychological, biological or otherwise - that men are closer to cats or vice versa. I know the video you're talking about. I'm a woman, and I love both, but I prefer cats. My dad is a cat person. My mum is a dog person. It kind of relays about your individual personality.
Thank you for all the comments. I just realized yesterday was Feb 26, 2017, exactly 8 years ago on the same day I recorded this video. Wow, time flies! Huggy's sweetness will live forever on RU-vid!!
Sweet!!! My cats will get in you lap and will stay still if you play them a movie or music. They even will try to touch the keyboard to copy what you do.
Whenever I come home...my cat greets me at the door by crashing his big head into me! Then he'll continue to purr until I pick him jump and start playing with him! He's such a cool little dude.
you should take and post your cats' video here. we should do all that we can to draw attention to how affectionate and loving cats are; a large number of folks are ignorant of this fact....dislike and mistreat cats.
Reincarnation I will have to go through some old videos. I wish I had a video of my cat Lucy. Not bs she attempted to use the potty on a bag of unopened cat litter because my daughters put off litter box duty. The bag was not open but Lucy understood what the bag of litter was for though she did not realize you have to open it and pour it into the box. Pretty smart imo.
I had just stumbled upon your video. What a joy too see. I did not know he had passed on. I am so sorry for your loss. I loved the poem. RIP👼💔🙏🌈 Buggy will ha e hi memory every year. Now it's 2018. 👼💔
My kitty wakes me up with his wet nose multiple times per night. And every time he wakes up he comes to me and headbutt me and wipes his wet nose on me when I'm sleep. Too cute.
I watched this a few years ago and just came across and watched it again. One of my all time favorite kitty videos but oh how sad to learn he's passed. So sorry, but he was truly loved by many. The poem is beautiful and brought tears to my eyes...
Nooo! I'm so, so sorry to hear of beautiful Huggy's passing. Thank you for sharing his wonderful personality with us. I just discovered this video today, my condolences.
This is the typical kitty!!! Yesterday I was watching a cat video, and my cat, Coco wanted attention.. When I picked her up into my arms and she saw that I was watching another kitty..she was outraged..furiously hissing and growling at the computer monitor...she bolted from my arms and stayed away for the rest of the evening..😂😁 She thought I was being "unfaithful"..🤣 Yeah, that's kitty love! Ya gotta love it..and them too!!
Soon it will be the one year anniversary of Huggy's death (Dec 16th). I am wondering what you would do on the death anniversary of your loved furry pal......
+michelleyang0625 Throw a small party in his memories. Doesn't have to be something grand, just a small little thing between you and your family members, like treating yourselves to a special dinner or enjoying yourselves doing an activity. Dwell in happiness rather than in mourning, because your pet made you happy more times than it made you sad. And your pet's life was worth more than your sorrows.
+michelleyang0625 My dog's first anniversary was on November 1st of this year. I commemorated with my family by each of us having a helium balloon, and we wrote a message, something we wanted to tell our dog or we felt towards our dog. Then we taped all the balloons together, and we went to our backyard (the same spot we put him down in) to let them go. Since he was my birthday gift for my 7th birthday, I'm the one who held the balloons, we waited for a minute of silence and then I let them go. That was pretty much my family's ceremony for our dog's anniversary... we still miss him a lot. I know I do.
This video has seemed to come across on my recommended, an video of a loved and cared for cat. As someone who had a late cat that passed away about two years ago who acted just like this, this video was heart warming to see.
I am sorry you lost Huggy. I know how you feel. I had to put Buddy down 4 years ago. Would have been 21 years old. He always knew when things didn't go as I expected. Cats are so loving and great company.
Huggy: "What? My human slave would rather work than worship me?? Unthinkable!" LOL Huggy was wonderful, and enriched your lives with memories, fun, and lots of love. I lost my 23 year old cat Ebony Valentine.. so I fixed up part of my yard with a paving stone path, a solar lantern and statue of an angel in Ebony's memory... I call it Ebony's Trail
Desratlinda Schmid Thank you! It was a wonderful experience putting Ebony's Trail in place. You could do something similar for your kitty who is buried in your backyard. Maybe a small stone cat sculpture, and one of those solar lights.... then at night you will see her light always shining :)
What a sweetheart Huggy must have been! Thank you for sharing the video. Hope the memories bring you all a touch of joy and love. He certainly warmed my heart today.
@@pankajbisht150 Sounds like you better check out the "My Cat From Hell" guy, Jackson Galaxy. He works with difficult cats all the time. Just google him.
That is soooooo sweet....this cat is soooo happy with his/her owners. Big thank you too you the sweet owners who love this sweet cat so much and for giving him/her so much love...😻😍😻😍😻😍
Awwww, what a sweet cat. My cat used to do this when I was on the computer and I had to actually hold him for a while and then he would leave for a bit and then come back. I miss him. He was 18 years old when I had to put him down. This is my favorite new video.
What a precious baby Huggy was . I know the pain of having to say goodbye, because my heart was broken eight times over as each of my dear, feline friends departed this life. But, I have the feeling that they are ALL waiting for me on a much happier, golden shore, and I;m sure that your beloved Huggy will be there also, waiting for the human friends whom he cherished - and who cherished him - so much in life. My deepest condolences over losing your beautiful darling, and may he rest in Eternal peace...
see cats can be just as loving as dogs in the right environment. this cat reminds me of mine he passed away a couple years ago... I miss him very much. but I declare he came back because I got a female cat and she acts eerily lot like him. almost an exact duplicate aside from gender. I know she is her own "person" but she just reminds me of him in a lot of ways.
What a beautiful cat. it warmed my heart to see the contentment and happiness in this cats face. He has full trust in you and knows he is loved so much. I don't even know him or met him and I am all teary eyed to read Huggy is gone and over two yrs ago. I hope you have comfort in knowing what a happy , loving life you gave him and the love and happiness he brought you.
My cats the same way, except he's worse. When I'm sitting in my chair, he jumps on the ottoman and flops down on my legs for a nap. And he never gets up without me trying to pry my legs away from him. I'd throw him off, but he cries afterwards and doesn't want to sleep there for a while. :/
You are supposed to notice me whatever else you think you have to do doesn't matter as long as the kitty get what they want. Now notice me till I say stop!
You are a great dad. It’s so nice of you to take time regardless how much work you have to do. Your baby just wanted some bonding time with you. You are so patient and how lucky your baby has you for a dad and you are lucky to have your baby to love you back.
Oh, no! I just discovered precious Huggy! Bless his sweet soul---what a dear, loving kitty he was and how blessed you were to have his adorable "demands" for the time you did. One of the highest prices we pay for deeply loving our furry feline babies is that we never have them nearly long enough. I know this all too well, and my heart goes out to you. 😻💚💕❤💜💛💙
When I saw the cat, I'm so happy for him n the owner. Because his is so so cute n adorable. But my heart really fall off when I read that his is no longer with them. I'm now making as much time as possible for my 20year old cat. She is just diagnose to have kidney problem. I can imagine how sad n heart broken it is because my heart is already aching so much....
+michelleyang0625 Thank you. Now I'm nursing her wound at her backside. It burst 3times already. last time was just before she is diagnosed with kidney problem. I don't understand, she suffer so much pain the previous one. N stitches needed for the wound to close. This time I work very very hard with her. Hopefully she doesn't need to stitch up.
I had a cat like that, we would talk and he understood me more than any human , I miss him every day

Lovely cat. My little girl will come and sit on the keyboard if you ignore her. Pat her for 10 minutes and she will happily then sleep behind the laptop whilst you work. CATS RULE !
The cat wants to "groom" with you in order to confirm love and bondage with you. Denying that is a mistake and the love and bondage towards you will weaken and there is no way back. Always "groom" with the cat wholeheartedly and at any time. That is very important. People call cats stubborn and self-willed, as if they would not love their owners but fail to understand that it is the owners own behavior that turns the cats against them in the first place.
