I play 12u and I have the prism and it may be just me but I have always been a demotion person and this prism and the new 2021 the prism plus one also have worked amazing for me but it really depends on who is using it and your mechanics.
Adam Evans from a visual stand point I thought the first round went to the Ghost, but the second round went to the Prism. This may be attributed to the fact both of these girls were used to the End Loaded feel of the Ghost but not the extreme balance of the Prism. I think the 2nd round they adjusted a little better to the Prism. Thanks for watching
Is the Prism similar to the Louisville Slugger LXT, and do you assume it will be similar to the Ghost Advanced coming out in August? I can buy the 2019 LXT for $199 less than the 2020 Prism. My daughter is leaning toward the Prism, and I wonder if it is worth it for such a price difference.
Mer H the Prism is a completely different technology and balance. I think the Prism is worth the money if you are looking for a well balanced bat. Something more top heavy, I would go with the Ghost
hey guys i just wanted to let people know after watching this vid I was sure on the ghost but we went to a place where they let you try out the bat in a cage I tried the ghost cf zen and prism I hated the ghost then I tried the prism but when I tried the cf zen I feel I gave pop everywhere but the prism I feel like I had to hit it just right so I left with the zen to try a bat if you can before making an expensive decision I left with the bat I thought I would hate
great review, honestly. I loved both of the bats, and correct me if I am wrong, the ghost hit better. These are two expensive bats, and obviously your want to make the right decision. I feel that it doesn't matter how these tow laddies preformed, because they are clearly advanced. It matters how my child hit, so I think that next time have a mix of levels. Like same team, but get a slapper or a base hitter. LIKE IF YOU AGREE
my daughter is 10 and just went through her second ghost. So we are going with the prism based on that. A 10 year old should not break 2 bats in a year
For me I have found the prism to be better if you are a line drive hitter and the ghost to be better if you are a power hitter. Both are good bats but you have to know your type of swing first. You should also swing both bats before you buy anything to see if you like the feel if one better.
We opted to do just feel and performance with live pitching. Future testing may incorporate exit speeds, but we here at The Bat Guru feel just plain feel and visual performance are sometimes best. Thanks for watching.
Did you weigh the bats before you started? I just bought my daughter a 33/23 Ghost, but it actually weighed in at 24 3/8 oz. 🤔 One of her old Demarini's weighed in at more than an ounce under what it was supposed to be, and it broke in about a month. It sure seems like the quality control is lacking at the Chinese factory all these bats are made at. Also, I've always heard that the ASA Ghost is hotter than the USSSA Ghost.
I had a fairly early (blue) ghost. It weighed almost 2 oz over! Was very poppy, but cracked within 2 weeks. Only swung by my power-hitting 8 yr old daughter. Every demarini ive weighed was dead on. Our lxt is almost an oz over, but with a thick tapered grip.
i just came here because my daughter has gone through 2 ghosts. Not going with that bat again! My son is older and has played high level travel as well as school ball and never had a bat break or crack like that ghost my 10 year old daughter had
Yung Hawk we understand that. Actually to be fair to the Prism, neither Ghost should be compared to it because it’s multi Stamped and the Ghosts are not. Thanks for watching.
Well, if we're nitpicking mechanics here. The most obvious problem is that Kell is dropping her hands and has a long swing. But they both CRACK! Thanks for doing this. Great review.
I pick up equally hot bats on Ebay all the time from $70-$130. The great part is if you don't like it, you can sell it for about the same price. Not much lost.
James Tate they do Market the two that way but the -10 Ghost definitely is more top heavy than most other -10’s. Don’t have to be labeled as end loaded to have a heavier swing weight.
my daughter has a CF9, Ghost and Xeno all 32-22. The Xeno by far feels heavier and endloaded and my daughter can't swing it worth a plug nickle. The Ghost she loves and swings good. The CF9 feels the lightest of the 3 but the ghost doesn't feel endloaded. The Xeno feels more endloaded
@@jamestate5059 My oldest had a 31/20 Zeno that felt like an adult's bat weight & end load balance wise. Youngest has a 31/21 Demarini CF you'd think was a drop -12 if you grabbed them back to back. The discs inside Zeno's is an anchor for smaller girls but for bigger ones it's a hammer!
There’s a reason most college teams use the ghost....been to several different usssa events with all different age groups.... the ghost bat is very popular and performs better than any I’ve seen... Time to go ahead and get us one
Michael Jones most college girls do not use the Easton Ghost. They use the DeMarini which is Wilson who also makes the Louisville LXT and of course all of the DeMarini brands which also include the Prism. Also when you see an entire team using the same bats it just means that there could be sponsor involved.
