This really is great - completely nailed it. Great playing, great sounds, and very clever layering and splitting! Which patches did you use? The piano line sounds almost exactly like the Seiko DS-250 used on the original (and if you'd share your patches, that would be awesome...)
Thank you Anthony!! If you have an Alesis Fusion, I could send you the Mix file which include the patches (but not the samples) used. As all the patches are modified presets, the samples are in the Fusion.
That's pretty much a really high-pitched sample-and-hold pitch effect. Just patch a S/H random modulation to an oscillator set for really high pitch (or better yet, a resonant filter), then bathe it in reverb.

Yeah i know it is 6 years too late, but your question got me curious enough to do an experiment. :) 6-8 voices unison detuned a good bit. Osc1 = Saw Osc2 = Saw 1 octave below and slightly detuned. Resonant low pass filter with 100% keytrack and about 70% emphasis, tuned to the frequency of the note. A fairly fast LFO modulates both oscillators pitch 10-20% and filter frequency about 5-8%. Some delay and reverb. = 99% this sound. So the answer to your question is: It doesn't matter which synth JMJ used (probably JP8), the sound can be made on almost any poly synth.
