Thanks for the question. The product is designed for a single coat application. There would be no benefits at all applying 2 coats. We would actually not recommend applying multiple coats as it could potentially prevent proper curing. A second coat would not only void any warranties but also would be a waste of time and money.

Please consult with adhesive manufacturer and proper governmental agencies regarding the proper removal of cutback adhesives containing asbestos. If there is no asbestos, you can remove non-water-soluble cutback adhesives by shot blasting, grinding or other mechanical means down to clean, structurally sound concrete. However, in some cases selfleveling underlayment can be installed over a thin, translucent residue of non-water-soluble cutback adhesive. Non-water-soluble adhesives that do not contain asbestos can be removed by razor scraping to a thin, translucent residue, then thoroughly swept and vacuumed. Yes, it can be used over gypcrete, but the dustiness needs to be removed prior to applying the primer.

We'd suggest asking the paint manufacturer on this since our product is meant to be part of a tile install.

Hello! Thank you for your message. No, this would not be a primer for an epoxy coating. You would still have to follow the epoxy coating manufacturers install and prep instructions. Hope this helps!
