@@matrixandraia for better or worse, I've always seen the soulsborne games as a portrayal of archetypes that deal with the same ideas with variations in theme. Failed kingships/godhood that held the fate of ages of the world, fighting to change the entropic nature of reality...to hold things fast against change..in bloodborne even to inject oneself with the old blood, as means to an end for a cure. To keep things as they were...to keep oneself as it was....until the panacea itself causes the cycle of events to self fulfill in it's own way. Lore cycling back onto itself. The means to an end was always change, kill the last god, dont link the fire, dont surrender to gehrman, kill the last god...become a god...or were you just linking the fire again? Ramble ramble.
Reuel Velayo This guy just wrecked me a few minutes ago I shut off the system before I died to save my health lol. Idk I must have been crazy good when I beat orstien and smough because I can't remember it.
@X5Exotic It's an action RPG. You gain soul points that you use to level your stats one point at a time. The game focuses much more on pattern memorization and evasion than grinding until you can take a hit. There are classes, but those are only templates for when you start; you can raise your stats however you want. The world's not really open; there are five stages that are quite long and continuous, with bosses that serve as checkpoints in between.
If you mixed Artirias with Fucking Gwyn and gave it a iato that looks like a daedric sword from skyrim and made him look like fucking Ezio from assassins creed you would have fucking allant
@juliymeri There's no reason to raise both Strength and Dexterity, unless you're going for a Meat Cleaver build. Raise your stats to the minimum to wield your preferred weapon, and then raise either Strength and make Crushing Weapons or Dexterity and use Sharp weapons. It's easier to farm for Greystones if you want a Strength build. Bladestone Chunks and Pure Bladestone have ridiculously low drop rates.
What is the max level for this game? (if you remember me we've been talking before, I was asking all those questions about the game) I beat this game am I am on NG+ atm, and man is it 5x harder than the first playthrough. And when I read your comment on this video about distributing souls to different attributes. I am a Melee based character (I roll fast with Dark Silver Armor, I prefer Straight Swords, and rarely use spells).
You have to kill every final boss in all of the areas. All of the Archdemons, and then the Nexus will turn into that pit for the end game. It wouldn't be too great if you could kill one Archdemon and then Allant, and then skip to the end, would it? (not being snarky either, being serious)
When he starts to raise the sword to stab it into the ground? It's a Wrath of the Gods style AoE that covers like half the arena. Either run well away from him or do like I do and interrupt him before it finishes.
@matrixandraia Lol, lucky me 'cause I need Hardstones for for my preferred weapon type (Long Sword, Short Sword etc). So you're saying that I should upgrade either Dexterity or Strength (based on weapon requriements) and that I should keep upgrading Vitality and Endurance equally? And if you didn' notice I wrote another comment earlier before. If you don't have time to read it a asked a question: what is the max soul level in this game?
@popkorn66 When you play online, you can see the white phantoms of other players that were online at the time. I don't know if it's real time exactly, but it's a cool effect.
@techdeckerandstuff Would've been awesome, but this character's up in the 280s now. If you get higher, send me a request. I don't play my PS3 that much anymore, and it's been a while since I've played DS, but it'd still be awesome to play this character again. High level co op is so rare.
Not exactly. The game forces you to finish one of the other worlds completely before progressing all the way through Boletaria Palace, so it would be fitting to have 1-4 be the final stage before the end game, but you can do this stage after finishing your first archdemon of you want to.
Continuation: I am upgrading Vitality, Endurance, Strength, Dexterity and they are all at level 34-35 and the other attributes are only upgraded once in the beginning of the game. Considering that I am a melee based character who rarely uses spells, do you recommend that I continue upgrading only Vitality, Endurance, Strength and Dexterity equally? Or which one should i prioritize, P.s: The False King Allant boss battle is so EPIC and 1-4 was an awesome stage too, especially the Ostrava part. :)
@shadowstalker9476 Always keep your shield up unless regenerating stamina. Be careful going around corners, because this game LOVES to get you sneak attacked. Get Endurance to 40 max, keep your equip weight under half. Get Vitality to 50 or so, and pick one attack stat (Strength, Dexterity, Faith, or Magic) and boost it, and use weapons that play off of it. "Balancing" your character makes them mediocre. Against Allant, stay medium distance, roll through his rush, hit him once, and back off. =)
ShadowWolfTJC I know right? I kept on looking for the final boss of this game until I realized there wasn't going to be any Epic Finale Boss Fight, really disappointing, but I guess FromSoft was going for a more peaceful ending.
+StormStomper Peaceful?! King Allant in that deformed and helpless state represents what you will become if you choose the bad ending. Besides condemning the whole world and betraying the Maiden in Black, you'll become a pathetic creature just like Allant. All because of your lust for power. There was nothing of peaceful about the ending! Now, in terms of dificulty, well... hard and epic isn't the way Fromsoft works with their final bosses. Although I'll admit that Gerhman and the Moon Presence in Bloodborne almost make an exception, they're really tough bosses. But what Fromsoft usually works with is the lore, the story and the impact the battle has on it. SPOILER ALERT!! RU-vidRS, READ AT YOUR OWN RISK - Demon's Souls, we discover what happened to Allant and what could happen to us. - Dark Souls, we see how far Gwyn, the mighty Lord of Sunlight fell and how tragic and futile was his struggle. - Dark Souls 2, we confront Aldia and, after learning the truth by his dialogues and by our search for clues, we're offered to either continue the cicle of Light and Dark or seek something else, knowing all full well we may end up like Aldia did. But it could be worth it, couldn't it? - Bloodborne, we either accept Gerhman's mercy and abandon him in the Hunter's Dream or we reject his offer and free him. Afterwards, come two possible consequences. Either you take his place as mentor to the hunters and the Moon Presence's puppet, or you destroy the Moon Presence and become a Great One yourself, with the possibility of helping humanity left open for debate. So, I'm sure you already know this by now, but Fromsoft works best with final battles that fir into the plot, and not just an awesome and epic battle that fills just like a regular final battle without any touches left to the story. Not saying the other games are like this, it's just how they prefer to work. And, personally, I like that.
