My personal favorite version of DTF possession is when the demon either loves the mortal they possess or are subsumed by same mortal. If only because it’s a subversion of the whole demonic possession thing
Wasn’t Caine the reason angels and demons started killing each other? If so, they must know of the existence of vampires. I have no idea if they know about the other races, but I’m pretty sure they remember Caine well.
You're absolutely right! I did a goof and read "The Angels of earth" as those angels who stayed with the humans, which... was completely wrong, I'll put it in the description, thanks for catching that!
Geist straddles that strange role of being a WoD game released post-Gehenna, right? I will probably cover it once I've done Wraith since it's sort of a spiritual (hah) sequel to it.
It came extremely late in the line, and it blatantly contradicts a lot of earlier lore without even trying to make sense (instead handwaving that "there are multiple simultaneous truths", as if that answered any of the questions that arise). Plus, the characters are extremely alien in their mentality, making a huge challenge to roleplay them to any real degree of justice. And I've heard that they're a trifle overpowered and gamebreaking, so that might also be a factor in why STs didn't encourage them.
Sadly Demon: the Fallen is one of those fairly unpopular splats of World of Darkness so it's doubtful. You can still buy the books as PDFs and Print on Demand from DriveThruRPG though.
The closest would be a book called Mont Cooks world of darkness. It was basically a redesign of WoD made for the d20 system. It was designed by Mont Cook who was one of the lead designers for Dungeons & Dragons 3.0. Might be able to still find a PDF copy somewhere online.
