About 50 years ago I contacted a rabbi about becoming a Jew because I had read about it, and it seemed closer to what I believed than Catholicism did, which is how I was raised. The rabbi told me I couldn't become Jewish unless I had a Jewish mother. I took him at his word. I wandered in a spiritual desert until I was 40 when I learned about Islam. I became Muslim a little over 30 years ago. I'm in my 70s now. It's so nice to see that you pray much like we do. Allah guides whom He Will. Thank you again.

The Arabic word translated to ‘novelty’ is “bid’an”, from the root ‘bid’a’ mean ‘to originate or bring something into existence for the first time, the thing not having existed before, and not after the similitude or anything pre-existing’ (Lane). Thus Muhammad (peace be on him) is not an innovator of the Jewish prayer similar to the Islamic prayer. It was the Source that inspired the prayer that is the same.

In the German translation the editorial staff added a note which says the depiction is incorrect, it showed a Christian prayer( hands folded in front of the forehead), so I wanted to see how an actual Jewish prayer looks like. I am a non-religious person but there's something calming in hearing a prayer, while you where talking I was sitting reverent in front of my phone and started closing my eyes too. I have chronic headaches but in this time I couldn't feel them. Very nice, I want to learn more about Judaism! Sorry if I made any English mistakes, it's not my first language. Beaulah Bhakre we specifically Muslim and Judaism believe almost same. I mean not almost , it’s same. First of all we have to understand when a prophet come to the world. A prophet come to the world when his perior prophet’s (God’s) word are not applicable anymore. And most importantly all prophets told them about future prophet. For example Moses told about Jesus , who have accepted this he/she has turned into Christian from Jews and Jesus told abou Mohammad. Who has believed he has turned into Muslim. It’s clear that they(Moses,Jesus and Mohammad(pbuh)) are in same line and true. Then where is the problem? The problem is we, who didn’t changed because of we will loose our power. On the other hand, people’s like Hindus and Buddhist are nothing and their beliefs is not Abraham’s belief. So they are more older than Moses. That means mostly Jews came from Hinduism(i mean who believe in polygamy) . I have many proof and signs and a clear conception. I am not able to understand it now. I saw the prophet after I met God Yes unfortunately this is true! 😔 I think this might be the case with most Muslims because unfortunately islam has been reduced to a set of daily rituals devoid of spirituality, depth and knowledge.... we have to go back to the prophetic path... it also reminds me of why it is mandatory -Fard Ayn- upon every believer to seek knowledge from the cradle to the grave. It's really sad to see so many dislikes, mostly from anti-Semites and some weird Muslim trolls. I'm Muslim but as Muslims we should respect this man, his religion and Christians and Jews. Nonsensical hatred will get us nowhere. As much as I support Palestine, this is not about politics, it's just an everyday, individual and innocent Jewish man showing how he prays because he wants the world to see, which I see no problem with. I have one friend who resides in Gaza and I know what goes on. Besides which I was born of a Jewish mother, whose uncle (long-deceased) relocated from Germany to Isra'el in 1961. Very interesting how much similarities there are in the prayer.. the postures, actions and even words. But the muslim prayer says everything for everyone in very few words, so we can achieve this 5 times daily..subhanallah, alhamdulillah, Allahu Akbar.

I'm from Bangladesh. I was so curious about Yahudi prayer and now I'm seeing it's much similar to that of ours in Islam. We all believe in one God(Allah), just by different name. We all accept prophets. Both religion teach us to pray and think of peace. We are actually brothers but some corrupted humans play evil that have made us enemy...which is very wrong.
There should be a full study by scholars of Judaism, Christianity and Islam to highlight what links there are in the foundations of the three religions in terms of salvation.

Do I have to do it daily? 6. The knee scrunches and bending that you do, what does it mean? How many times should I do it? Is it mandatory? 7. What kind of clothing should I wear? I don't own any Jewish clothing whatsoever. 8. What do I do after I finished praying? 9. What if I forget to pray? Should I double it the next day? 10. Do I pray in private or am I allowed to do it in front of other people? Thanks a lot. I can’t tell you, as a man. We are separated in our prayer time. There is a divider in the synagogue, between women and men so there is total concentration on your prayers and blessings to Gd. Our women practice modesty like Muslim women do, including covering their hair.
Married women cover their heads while young girls don't (those who aren't married) they do dress modestly, they wear long dress till the knees or longer, sleeves usually are longer and reach the wrists, the neck is usually covered but the hair isn't, only the hair is covered for married women, some wear wigs and some wear a Jewish version of a hijab called meetpachat
