Great advice as always. As a broker in a beach town in the U.S, the same truth applies. Local knowledge is key...find a real estate professional that you can trust. Share your criteria/priorities for a home or condo and work together to find your property. Thank you for being a great resource!

Maybe next time develop your own info instead of tearing apart someone else's hard work and guide. As a realtor for over 25 yrs yes it is better to pick one company to work with but sometimes it is better to work will multiple companies. To tell someone no one will work with you for going to multiple companies is poor advice. Maybe tell people to talk to each company and explain that you are working with others and let the company decide. Thank you for getting info out there just becareful how you present it.

Thank you for sharing your POV, great feedback. My goal wasn’t to “tear apart someone else’s work,” rather than be transparent and address advice that is being given to thousands of people relocating to a very unique market. Additionally, I don’t make the rules on how the agent communities work, I am sharing insider information on how they work so people can understand. As stated Panamà is very different than other real estate markets. Majority of agents have agreed to always ask clients if they are working with another agent and if they are, circle them back to the agent they are working with. This is a relocation community and most of the time agents have spent sometimes years communicating back and forth before a client even hits the ground- so ideally they will be loyal. We do much more than help them find a house- we are their first relationship, their main source for all things, help them navigate immigration, residency, bringing their pets/belongings, translate, etc and on and on…that deserves to be respected and the agent deserves to be compensated in the end.
