Grubby, the cast range is 1300 but collision is detected on what is called Center to Edge. Every unit has a circular collision hitbox, including the hook itself. Your hook is able to hit because it is intersecting the units width. The Hook has a 100 unit width, which makes it feel like 1400+
It's such a delight to see Dendi training Grubby. As good as Grubby is in micro, it shows you that we all start new games at the bottom and getting coached from others who know the game well, is such a benefit to us. Wonderful upload! 👏
The hook bug is that , the first game tick detected the rune position, and refunded the mana, but the next tick physically spawns the rune body. So you basically hooked the soul of it, but not its body xD, this happens because of dota lag compensation, your client corectly asumed you hooked the rune, but it was ahead by a tick and the server response told it you were early.
This was really great to watch; Grubby you have the mechanical skill and the brain speed to really take on what Dendi is saying and make huge improvements within the scope of just one match, and Dendi did a good job pitching the coaching so as not to overwhelm you with information. It was cool! Keep doing you, both of you.

Hey Grubby, I noticed that chat is not as nice in dota as compared to hots :( I really commended you for standing up to the toxicity that I think is deeply rooted in the dota culture. I wish my boy OldChatterhand and my humble self could team up with Grubby and Dendi to play Dota, that sounds like TEAM Play over the usual playing this game solo with but also against your teammates. :(
I cant wait for him to see Treant's base damage. I used to play right click tree. Grubby would be the guy to know how to play treant better than most people. As long as he doesnt follow a guide that says to max living armor.
Grubby, maybe you have already explained this several times, but when you say "move as 5", doesn't it mean the exact opposite of what you really intend? Is that another instance of your _subtle sarcasm_ ? I would understand that the expression "move as 1" is meant for the team to group and move together. Perhaps this is a case where we expect our allies to misunderstand the message.
Are people really still getting vanguard even with damage block on his E now? Seems like a bit of a waste when you mostly need hood now since you don't have base bonus magic resist now.

Imagine huskar with rot ability dispell+ rot slow lmao.Always buy a rod of atos on pudge after a;ll your combos you pin the enemy for longer duration you can upgrade it later and its also good to land hooks buti think its better to finish your normal combo then use rod for that extra duration and dmg of rot.Your job on pudge is to get one of them out of ganks and you should never do it close to the team yoru hook has insane amount of range with aether so usually hook one of them from a safe place so that you can finish him off without others hurting you. In the ganks that you performed you were pretty much in the midst of the battlefield tanking all their spells which resulted in deaths.
Lots of panicking here n there.. I think you really could improve your focus.. Like when u use bkb after u got stunned by WK.. Thats really a prove that the delay when Dendi said "use bkb" and the time you actually used it is really too long.. I guess thats the root of so many mistakes that u made.. Which could seems like worse than 1k mmr.. Only because of your focus..👍👍
