Denied Public Access With My Service Dog 

Visiting a friend in a nursing home. I was approached by the Director of Nursing and then an administrator. I was informed that my service dog was not allowed by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing Homes. I informed her that state laws do not supersede Federal laws of nondiscrimination. I am allowed to take my service dog to any store or restaurant. They are allowed to ask me two questions only. Is he a service dog? What service does he
provide? The administrator requested I provide his service dog certificate, his tags, and a copy of the letter from my eye doctor. None of these are required by law. I called the police who informed me it was a civil matter and that I would have to hire an attorney and sue them in court. May have to do just that.
