This video is about the incredible Denmark team that won the European Championship in 1992. At first Denmark didn't even qualify for the tournament. Yugoslavia were disqualified and Denmark replaced their spot. Beforehand it's crazy to think that a team would win the tournament that didn't even qualify. That's the beauty of football. Griechenland 2004. Weil Dänemark spielte bereits 1984 eine tolle EM in Frankreich und 1986 eine tolle WM in Mexiko. Mit Simonsen, Mölby, Lerby, Morten Olsen, Jesper Olsen, Preben Elkjaer Larsen, Frank Arnesen und so weiter. We are red, we are white, we are danish dynamite.

Denmark - Netherlands 92 was the first game I was allowed to watch when I was little kid (it was past my usual bedtime). I've been a fan of the team ever since.

Denmark entered the finals for disqualified Yugoslavia, they were not prepared for it at all and they played great, ambitious football, all of us in Poland supported them in the match against Germany

This was my first Euros i watched. At the time this was like Greece winning the Euros in 2004. Denmark beat a great Holland and Germany teams. A great story when they were not originally in the tournament.

Danmark is a huge team. It seems nothing and nobody can stop them. They are like well oiled machines and never cease to amaze us. Delaney, Braithwaite, Dolberg....uaaaa! Denmark is a huge favourite of the QF and not even Czechs can stop them. A humble coach, humble players yeah its the way to win this strange tournament. I exactly remember attending the match between Denmark with Yussuf Poulsen in Prague back in 2015 (U21) and was amazed by him too. All in one Denmark is a favourite of the following match and simply has to win. btw get Well Eriksen!

I am lovin’ it when the undergrounds win against favourites. Even in this Euros I so much wanted Denmark to win against England and make it to the final and I am not even Danish. But the refs in that VAR room…Shame on them! Because, this Danish team which, reminded me of that legendary Danish team that won Euro92, definitely deserved to be in the final.

And the germans had a very strong team if you look at their squad from 92, the striker Jürgen Klinsmann was a goal machine at that time. One of the best. The danish keeper took so many impossible shots in that match.

Nethetlands were current Euro holders (1988) and Germany were World Cup champions (1990). 12 years later Greece won Euro, 24 years later Leicester City won EPL. I love stories like this

Шмейхель тогда чудеса творил в рамке! Каждый матч, начиная с Франции, я думал, что вот-вот датчан вышибут из Евро. В полуфинале уж почти не сомневался!.. Выиграли! А в финале тем более на немцев ставил (не спорил, а для себя). И тут Шмейхель - стена в раме, а в контратаках сыграли выше всяких похвал! БРАВО! И это при том, что команда узнала о своём участии в Евро-1992 в апреле (Югославию отстранили и заменили Данией срочно), а в июне предстояло играть. Вот и сыграли!

For the first, its Schmeichel and not Smeichel, and second, Laudrup did not play the entre EURO’s because of bad relations with the coach and not beliving that Danmark could achieve anything, so bad for him. But i can stand with you on that Greece winning the EURO’s in 2004 was more impressive.

Denmark in 1992 was a fairy tale, so the same for Greece in 2004. Nowadays, something like this is more unlikely, since Denmark only needed to play 5 games and Greece 6 games to win the trophy.

The unhappiness and misfortune of people living in Bosnia in 1992 was actually the starting point for the biggest joy in the history of Danish football. Yugoslavia was removed from Euro 1992 not because of the breakup, it was because of the shelling of Sarajevo(and probably the massacres in some other parts of Bosnia). If the Serbs had waited a few weeks more before starting the war in Bosnia, Yugoslavia would have played at Euro 1992, probably just with Serb and Montenegrin players.
