I liked him when he was pre-political in the late 80's particularly on SNL. If memory serves, his stand up was quite clever and funny. I knew he turned into a right-wing d-bag in the last 15 years or so, but I hadn't seen him much at all until these Sam started with these "Miller Time" reviews. I have to say, it's REALLY shocking to see him now. It's like having a funny uncle you remember as a child that you haven't seen in 25 years, meeting him and realizing he's just some unfunny, decrepit, deranged, white-haired old man who still thinks he's living in the year 1956.

I'm not sure if Miller became the least funny comedian in the world just by getting old and becoming a Conservative, or if he simply decided to mail it in and FOX is the only outlet oblivious enough to not realize that he stopped trying 15 years ago.

Once upon a time Denny was funny. Then he got political. Now he's just rather pitiful. (Note - I went to high school with him and he was kind of a jerk then, too, lol.)

man I actually knew that he was a douche before I ever even saw a second of any of his material, which says a lot about your reputation if somebody knows you is being a jerk before they saw you. but back in the late 80s early 90s my mom had a friend take her to the SNL studios for a couple different episodes and one of those times it was Dennis Miller hosting and my mom still brings up how much of an disappointing reaction
