Back then, Phil was still quite a vulnerable man despite his bully boy nature, as he watched himself around Dalton and when Andy Hunter and his heavies arrived, Phil was wary of them. If that was 2024, the plot armour would allow Phil to beat Dalton, Andy and his heavies.

I swear there was a major quality dip in EastEnders after 2005. Took them ages to build back up to anything half-decent. All the best characters who left/died and the storylines that ended by the end of 2005 left a massive void that 2006 failed to fill, even if they did bring in a few good characters, but the rest of the 00s were massively "meh" in comparison. Kat and Alfie have been a joke since their brilliant Christmas 2005 exit. Why the hell did they bring them back just to ruin everything?
