The NBA is the 50 best players in the world, and 250 of the best role players. He isn't a top 50 guy in the NBA, so his role is reduced to role player and that's what he plays like in the NBA
Totally role in the national team which he essentially leads. No one would give him such an important role in the NBA because he’s a bit too streaky. Maybe he could come back to Europe and be a star in the Euroleague
@@HKim0072 when gordon herbert took over they wanted 3 years with 3 medals. in euro-championchip they got 3rd (bronze), then world champion (gold), so yes, if germany gets 2nd place in olympics (silver) the collection is complete i think. but i guess they would take a 3rd too....
its a shame how they yell at Dennis only because Fournier that unsporty bastard chocked him ? It was obiously Fourniers own fault to do such a danger move why flaming Dennis for it?
This one in particular was a bit of a rematch after france whooped germany by 20+ points two days ago. Last game was without either Wagners and this one is without Wemby. But yeah these a couple of friendlies/ testgames before the olympics start. ‘Preseason’ if you will
You really think he was good with the Lakers? There is a reason he's only getting 13M from Toronto and no one else going after him. Fiba ball is very different
No Wemby, and France only lost by 5 to Germany. I think it’s pretty good considering they couldn’t make shots and couldn’t make their free throws. They have to work on that if they want a chance to advance to the Finals.
Theis and Thiemann were missing for Germany too. At least Theis is crucial for this German team. His synergy with Schröder is something else. Also without Theis, Mo Wagner is basically the only center (not counting Kratzer here, he's not on their level).
I don’t understand how this tournament works. Didn’t they win a gold medal last year? I thought the Olympics were every 4 years. Or is FIBA every year?
Last year was the Fiba world cup. This year is a summer olympics, the last olympics was a winter one. The olympics are still every four years, the two events are just staggered so that there is an olympic games every 2 years.
@@goead Germany won FIBA gold last year. I think, winning the FIBA World Cup automatically qualifies you to the Olympics. France was also already qualified in the Olympics since they’re the host country. So this game was just a friendly match before the start of the Olympics.
