My guess is Gibbs lets him take the #11 with him to 23XI (just the number, not the charter) and JGR rebrands the 11 as the 18. Once Hamlin's done driving the #11 car is effectively retired.

As long as JGR can get good sponsors for Hamlin, he will stay there.

Before the DQ, Haley had an average finish of 19.2 with back-2-back 17th place finishes. In addition, he was 26th in the standings, 2 points behind Hocevar for 25th. My bold prediction was Haley would finish top 25 in points. Shame the DQ happened

I could see kaulig's cup program being absorbed by trackhouse and kaulig being a big time Xfinity team as a pipeline to trackhouse

All the money in the world is not going to make ty or austin cup superstars. Between gas mileage wins and huge wrecks leaving them basically the only ones left ran its course 10 yrs ago. Kaulig must need sponsorship money bad if Hemric and Ty are there choices. Money can't buy you love but it can buy you a nascar ride.

I think Corey Heim is gonna drive the 11 for JGR after Hamlin because he is already a relief driver for 23XI and Legacy Motor Club.

I've been saying maybe Denny's last year can be with 23XI and he could bring the 11 over since it is in the team name. Joe Gibbs could then use the 18 again since it has such prestige with the team with I believe 3 championships.

Truex Jr. pitted lap one because he thought he had a tire going down from the contact but after the pit stop it was found the contact actually broke the rim and it had a piece missing. I believe fully that Denny will most likely retire from full-time driving after driving at least one season for his own team most likely because Gibbs replaces him with a younger driver they need to move up or risk losing.

I'm pretty much in agreement but would move Ty up to 4. Not a fan at all but the consistency from him has been almost unmatched. If he keeps this up he's gonna be scary for the next 20 years.

you can come up with all the ideas and thoughts about who and why on the drivers choice of teams, it's been obvious for years now that the money is the answer, some drivers bring sponsor money with them and some drivers get paid big bucks to drive for a team. and the number situation has been kicked around for years and no one seems to pay attention, here is a few words straight from nascar. In fact, the drivers themselves don’t even own the numbers on their cars, nor do the racing teams. All of the numbers belong to NASCAR, which licenses them to team owners on an annual basis. and yes ive repeated this over and over but fans still seem to think teams and drivers control the numbers.

As a Logano fan, I am beginning to get seriously concerned for Joey's season.

The way Gibbs has been slow to adjust to the modern sponsorship system of piecing seasons together, and taking on more outside investment, I could see 23XI buying the 11 charter off of JGR and just rebranding the 11 car under the 23XI banner. They're already so interconnected that it couldn't be too overly complicated.

Denny and MTJ are paid a lot of money and maybe too much for JGR to have both drivers. a few of the sponsors would go with Denny.

Sorry, but Bell needs to be in the top 5. Another lap or two and he would have been the first 2 time winner this year. Give him his props.

Gibbs and Bell should be definitely higher in Power Rankings. They are repeatedly one of the fastest drivers week in and week out and Gibbs' consistency (and his Top10 streak) is absolutely incredible. I would put them definitely ahead of Larson and Blaney at this point and I'd even argue they could be ahead of Hamlin and Truex

Gibbs should let him take the 11 with him and reinstate the 18

RWR is where Spire was 5 years ago. I think Justin. Add the right call, go in at ground level (sort of) and build / grow with the team. Kaulig like you said is a bit of a mess in Cup. It’s crazy how far ahead Trackhouse is and they came in pretty. I h at the same time. They need stability with drivers and find some sponsors. I think Maddy D could be a good fit at Kaulig,if he could,d only bring some money with him.

denny going to 23xi hinges soley on WHEN they get their 3rd charter imo. if it happens within the next 2-3 seasons, which seems unlikely, than i dont see it happening, full time atleast. BUT, say denny doesnt retire by 2027 AND 23xi gets another charter, i think he's for sure in his own car until he hangs it up. how ammicable the split is could go either way, but it does make sense for both parties, toyota has alot of young guns, hamlin will be older, who knows if fedex will stick around at this point, i think this works best for everyone.

I bet when a new manufacturer pops in and new charters show up. He may be able to grab one. Especially if the swap manufacturers. Practically only way they'll probably get a new charter. I believe is a new manufacturer pops in there will me more charters. Best chances to grab a new one. I don't believe anyone will be selling otherwise.

would of been nice to see what min weight was and what it weighed... 15lbs difference ? the guy probly lost it sweating it out on the track....part fall off the car.... tire pressure not as much.... i sure hope it was by alot.... the car meets weight before the race but not after.... hmm so example.. the car driving around like a modified with no fenders... meets the weight or is exempt, but not an intact car? seems like a SUS penalty to me.

Hamlin to 23XI I feel is in direct reaction to Trackhouse. It's a management battle within the sport. Justin has said Michael Jordan brings more money to the sport and can beat him out for a charter.. let's assume the charter system doesn't change (which we know it will but the basics will be the same most likely). The value of charters just continue to go up and if one hits the market, 23XI might have to "over pay" to get it. With the payouts being broken up into three segments (TV money, race by race purse, and rolling three year average of owners points). If 23XI has to pay the amounts rumored they may not be able to gamble on a first year xfinity driver or trucks driver. And who "cheaper" to put in the car besides a veteran who's already on the payroll. Plus business wise if 23XI positions themselves to snag the next charter to hit the market this makes it that much harder for Trackhouse to grab their third which already has multiple development drivers signed. This just smells of business moves in the background.

So I’m new to NASCAR literally just started watching around September of last year so I am a rookie. With that being said, how can Joe Gibbs be so much different than 2311? I thought the whole point of the car was to make everything equal as possible? Second question is what is a charter? Like I said, I’m very new to the sport just starting to understand some basic things.

If Denny goes to 2311 that means they will have to get another charter which opens another seat when Denny is done and that seat will probably go to Corey Heim Chandler Smith or be a car like the 16 kaulig car in 2022

We're what, 5 races into the season, and Haley is starting to show speed in the RWR cars. It's still early. Before the better finishes come, you need to have the speed. Once the speed gets more consistent, and faster, the better finishes will come.

Hamlin said he was gonna stay at Gibbs until FedEx left on the DJD a year or so back. With FedEx scaling back, he might be thinking it.

I figure he’ll finish his current contract out with JGR. But by that time Gibbs will be ready for new, younger blood in the car. Denny may want to race full time a couple more years. So yea, I can easily see Denny finish his career at 23xi. Question is will Gibbs let Denny take the car number 11 with him? I think he would as long as the relationship ends well. Wouldn’t be cool to have a #23 and #11 car at 23xi.

But if he left Joe Gibbs would that current arrangement with 2311 continue as far as alliance and information sharing. I really doubt it would unless Joe was on board with it and needs that seat for another driver. But if Denny leaves on a bad note I don’t think it’s that simple

As a Larson fan, and all He drink drivers, I wonder why they don’t go for more stage wins. It seems like when it comes to the strategy part, road courses the most, they tend to a,ways go for the win. I get that part but they all can’t win and understanding where your car is. Always here the drivers , I had a top 5 car, top 10 car. I don’t know it seems like there is no interest in really charging for the regular season title.

23xl is a sister team to JGR. IF Denny goes there for a season, it would be planned by Koe and Denny. He wouldn't be leaving JGR technically.
