QOBUZ PLEASE!! :) I'm so glad to hear you're working on it. I just bought the $3,000 Marantz SACD 30N and the lack of QOBUZ is making me reconsider. But hearing it is planned, I might hang onto it.

Nice to hear Qobuz connect on the HEOS roadmap. I was waiting a long time for that… since purchasing a ND8006 😊

Hopefully the ability to use Dynamic EQ without the surround channels volume boosting aspect will be in the next major update. It's the only thing holding me back from buying MultEQ-X. Especially for gaming, the surround channels are too loud and the Ref. Level Offset is not a suitable / effective solution. There simply needs to be an off option for the surround channels volume in relation to the rest of what Dynamic EQ does. Dynamic EQ is great, but the extra loud surround channels have been a massive headache for many users for years, with content such as games and music mixed in Dolby Atmos.

Does the X6800H allow for the speaker distances to be more than six meters apart when using Audyssey? This has been a limitation for years that really limits the possibilities to calibrate systems properly, especially with regards to getting multiple subwoofer integration right. Audyssey tells me that they have raised this issue with Denon, but Denon hasn't listened.

I was wondering if you could bring this issue to the Japanese engineers' attention concerning the DTS Virtual:X virtualizer still being prohibited from using Dolby signals? This cross-format upmixing restriction issue that is still present even on the latest D+M X6800H/Cinema 30 AVR models has been a pet peeve of mine for quite some time, the Dolby cross-format restrictions have been abolished now for the past 4 years so this really shouldn't be present anymore on D+M's AVR/AVPs, it'd be greatly appreciated if they could remove this restriction in a future firmware update :)

What DA converters are used for the zone 2 and zone 3 out in the 6800? And what AD for the analog inputs?

The comparison between Cinema 30 and X6800H starting @ 45:25 was also an incorrect referencing of X6800H. The host was saying X6800H but the picture shown was Cinema 40??

Are we saying that the cinema 30 has two different modes to select from for music and movie

If you are referring to "filter 1 and 2"... yes, it's unique to the CINEMA 30. As we mentioned, both filters add flexibility to the user's preference. It's a matter of taste and you can further customize with different calibration (Audyssey / Dirac) and using the Movie and Music modes on the remote to choose various format options. We like for example to Auro3D up-mixer when watching music concerts.

@roland.spaceguy At 45:14 I believe it is rather misleading that Masimo Consumer is touting that it is utilising "ELNA" capacitors for the Marantz Cinema series when it clearly is using a low quality brand of electrolytic capacitors called "Su'scon" which I believe is a low tier Taiwanese brand, you can see "Su'scon" clearly labelled on the Cinema 30's marketing materials of the 80V 22,000uf electrolytic capacitors :(

Good catch. You are right, the manufacturer is "Su'scon" for the main capacitors of the Cinema 30 and not ELNA. Anyhow, I wouldn't say that Su'scon is a low quality brand. The capacitors we are using were manufactured by Su'scon upon the specifications from our sound master. The parts are thoroughly controlled by our QA section and quality, reliability and longevity of these parts have proven to be excellent.

Audyssey's dynamic EQ is great for bass, except it wrongfully boosts the levels of the surround and height speakers to the point that it is really distracting and completely diverts from the creator's intent. Please find a fix for this for these new AVRs! Also, please increase the dynamic EQ offset range so that we can go beyond 15 dB. My maximum listening volume is -20 dB, and the normal volume that my family uses is -40 dB. In other words, the dynamic EQ offset setting range is no way near adequate.
