I love Marantz and have been loyal for over 15 years. But it is very disappointing that my Cinema 30 was $4500, and I need to spend another $700 for Dirac when people can get a $1000 Onkyo, which comes with it. I have bought the SR5008, SR6009, SR7008, SR6013, AV7705, MM8077, MM7055, and now the Cinema 30. It makes me want to return the Cinema 30 and hook my 7705 back up. A Dirac code would be nice if included for Cinema 30 and AV10 flagships.
Thank you sir! One question though. At 5:00 in the video you get an osd showing input output of the video. When I press the info button I only get the sound information / speaker configuration. I am using an x2600h with the latest firmware (EU). Is there something I am doing wrong? Thanks in advance!!
I tried HEOS and Tidal Connect on my X6700H 7.1.6 system. Disappointed to find that you only send a FLAC stream when I select an Atmos title. I presume this to be a HEOS limitation as Tidal app on the Sony and AppleTV decode as Atmos on the 6700. While I understand HEOS is primarily a two channel distributed audio system, all the major music streaming services now have Atmos music. If you want to listen on speakers, it will be through an AVR or processor. HEOS on my 6700 should support this in my mind.
My Marantz AV8802A went out when the power got shut off during a power outage and came back on. I'm in the process of sending it out for repair, but was considering buying either the AV8805A or the AV 10 to replace my 8802A, because I just can't wait for the AV8802A to come back. As far as Marantz goes I've owned the SR-18 and SR-14EX receivers and never had a problem with them, which is why I had upgraded to the AV8802A. Was curious if the AV10 is $1,500.00 better than the AV8805A, and if you think it would be worth it just to get either the AV 10 or the AV8805A?
I'm an Apple Music and Qobuz music listener, neither of which Denon includes with HEOS, even though you've listed Apple Music on your slide around 37:20, so ... I don't use HEOS ... when can we expect both of those services to be added? It's not like MQA, Apple Music and Qobuz are widely available and accepted.
MQA isn't widely accepted... it's just been culled from Tidal in favour of FLAC... so you could easily say it's dead in the water. Qobuz is certainly available for users, but only 200,000 subscribers globally have taken it up... which tells me it's not worth the time or money for Hi-Fi companies to implement (Spotify has 626 million users in comparison). I don't know for sure, but I believe Apple Music is very much locked down by Apple to their own products and Sonos due to Sonos's massive market share. The likes of Qobuz will be lucky to survive if Spotify ever turn on their long discussed High-Res tier... heck, I think it's amazing they have lasted as long as they have. FYI I have Spotify, Tidal, RU-vid Music and Qobuz personally... but Qobuz is the first for the chopping block due to its lack of a Connect style service.
Seems misleading that the Apple Music logo is included under ‘Selected Streaming Partners’ when there isn’t any indication that Heos offers Apple Music integration? If this was planned to be included in future I might consider a Heos device, especially if it supported lossless/hi res
I also use the old HEOS AMP as secondary, driving the surround speakers for my primary HEOS AVR. A pity that I however can’t connect a subwoofer to the AMP as well. The subwoofer can only be connected to the AVR itself. It feels as if this option just had been forgotten… please keep updating HEOS, also the older stuff!
What's the purpose of hires music, since Audyssey only works up tp 48khz/24 bit internally and downsamples hires? Do we have to switch off Audyssey in order o have any advantage of hires?

My first streamer has been a Marantz NA 6006, back in Jan 2021. Pretty happy of streaming philosopy (liquid music as well as liquified CDs), I trade it in for a SACD 30N a couple of months after (early April '21). I did it blind, just trusting in "all better" stuff advertised and even reviewed. I fall in love with its design but, unfortunately: no percivable sound upgrade or, if any, not justified by X6 price. CD player tray should have a kind of embrional AI 'couse it's taking its time, every time, in opening and get CD started. F***. Still on tray: mechanical is not bad but does not deliver all this reviewed excitement. It ends up that this SACD 30 took off from my rack just after Xmas, same year. At that time supply chain was still suffering the disruption of the PLANdemic great commedy so that I almost got all my money back, btw. for the record (or for whom is may interesting at) I am currently streaming trought an NDX 2 (Naim) and still playing my CD trought my 1992 Yamaha CDX 1120 (for which, thanks God, I find and installed a new, original, untouched laser pick up).By by and good luck Marantz

@@SoundUnitedTraining that would be fantastic. Its just that I look at the graphs and don’t really know if what I am looking at is good or bad, or just leave alone. I understand that the room and speaker layout is very important but I can’t really change much for my room. I don’t know anyone here in Perth Australia that can tell me what each graph means for each speaker where the problems if any are and what if anything I can do about it in more detail. Perhaps I can send you my graphs for your video for an example (only joking).
Will Denon have an upgrade option for this AVR as HDMI they only have 40Gbs, as TV's for 2024 will have 144Hz screens require the full 48Gbs bandwidth?
QOBUZ PLEASE!! :) I'm so glad to hear you're working on it. I just bought the $3,000 Marantz SACD 30N and the lack of QOBUZ is making me reconsider. But hearing it is planned, I might hang onto it.
So a quality amplifier is expensive because many employees do a lot of manual work on it? In my opinion it is the quality of the parts and engineering of the circuit board. The fewer hands the better.
The M1 looks great and I have had my eye on it for a while. I had asked Marantz about support for "Qobuz" and "Tidal Connect" and the response was those items are not on the radar. They did say the M1 supported "Tidal Hi Res" but I am not sure what that means, and how it is accomplished. Can someone give a technical explanation as to how the M1 accomplishes Tidal Hi Res? Thanks
@jefflabute2946 Well D+M AVRs have just received Tidal Connect & Deezer HiFi with the latest July 24th (U34) HEOS firmware update but disappointingly Roon Ready certification has been delayed for the second time, the first was in April & now in July, it appears that D+M's engineers are really incompetent & seem to be struggling to implement Roon Ready, perhaps it is the HEOS hardware that is limited to 2 Ch Stereo & atrocious software limitations causing such issues :(
@@oniiz8685 sure looks promising. A fairly large update with lots of features including: HEOS app feature: "Reboot" is added to My Device Settings of the HEOS App. The customer can reboot their device from the HEOS App A feature I hope I never or rarely need, lol.
Love my Marantz AV10 for about 3 weeks now and have tried the HEOS app....it's HORRIBLE. For some reason it doesn't sound as good as using Tidal on my Bluesound Node 2. It sounds like it's coming from a cardboard box. Unfortunately you do not include Qobuz in the streaming services.
Bought an m1. Hate it. Just kidding - love it! There are heos annoyances, and opportunities that haven’t currently been taken (room correction! Better eq!) but the overall package is good. It’s worth the price.
