Thanks for sharing this info. The manual is too long to find this bit of knowledge. I do have a question and I know it's a long shot. I did this because I wanted to fix my receiver freezing after a while but since i did it, it doesn't give any amplified sound output. On full volume it I get the sound of the input very soft and crackly. Does anyone know if I just killed my amp?
Good morning everyone!! Could someone tell me if it is possible to configure this receiver from the front panel? I just bought it but it doesn't come with the remote control, and where I live it is very difficult to find it... the receiver is the DENON AVR-3312CI
Could yoy help me to arc the 1911. Haven't done it since I bought it new, but would really need to get it working. I'll get the picture to tv, but not sound..
Just saw your message. Typically the issue is a setting in the TV, but be warned, when you change the tv setting to ARC the TV speakers are turned off so you will need to turn on the surround whenever you watch the tv.
Hello sir,after resetitng my x2800 denon,I cant find in speakers menu->manual setup the speaker configuration to change front speakers from large to small,how can I fix it;
I'm not familiar with that model. On many receivers it will automatically set the front speakers depending on if you have a subwoofer. Try setting it to "yes" for subwoofer in configuration & see if it lets you change the front speakers size. Here is the manual: assets.denon.com/DocumentMaster/ENG/AVR-X2800HE2EA_X2800HDABE2_ENG_PDF_IM.pdf
Same here I hate these Denon receivers this is the third damn one I've had and they're all junk when it comes to this I don't care what anybody says these things are just too finicky. I TOO HAVE AN AVR 1700 I'VE BEEN SEARCHING FOR 2 AND 1/2 HOURS ONLINE WITH NO LUCK... ON HOW TO GET THE DAMN STANDBY OFF!!!
It could be in protect mode. First thing to check is unplug all speakers from the receiver then try turning it back on again, If it comes out of protect mode, then it's a bad speaker or speaker wire. If not then the problem runs deeper.
Arc is typically settings on both the receiver and the TV. You will need to look in the 1911 manual to see if you need to set that particular input to ARC, then also on the sound settings on your TV. On my TV I have to set "HDMI-CEC device control" to "on". BUT..... When I do this, the TV speakers are always off, so I need to use the surround sound all the time, so I don't use the ARC anymore. Optical should simply be setting that particular input to "optical" on the receiver. I no longer have this receiver so my help is limited.
