Denon X6700H and X4700H have an output issue when connecting two output devices. Here's the current workaround, whilst we wait on a proper fix from Denon.
Your problem with hdmi cables acting up may be related to not matching the cable to the system settings. Open the menu and look for HDPC and select the correct version per cable and input. You will see that the initial settings are for version 1.4 on all outputs. Change the settings to match what mirror your cables and the device connected. Hope this solves your issue.
Good Temp fix but it does not allow monitors to access different sources. So it only stops the flickering and having to plug and un-plug. Denon needs to fix this ASAP. I bought the X6700H to drive my indoor and outdoor monitors..... Denon please at least announce something! Anything!!
The problem isn’t the Denon, unless the 2 screens have identical spec then you are going to experience issues. The best way is to use an EDID management tool from someone like Blustream. HDMI is causing so many issues, particularly when different devices using HDMI 1.4 and HDMI 2.0 are connected. The worst manufacturer for HDMI issues is LG. Another workaround would be to connect the second display to zone 2 then the Denon will see 2 different devices rather than trying to split the signal on the same output.
Hey I've got an 6700h and an LG G1 and my Denon seems to do whatever it wants, changing inputs, powering off, etc. It's bizarre. Any ideas on how to fix?
