A lot of questions have come up about PDR tools for beginners. What PDR tools to buy when you are starting to learn PDR. In this video I have a challenge to spend 1000$ and have a good starter set.

Hello Mr vidic, really inspiring vibes you have, i,m starting of PDR as a complete solo beginner , and i dent my own car or hope somebody will so i can practice without fear, fear is a big killer for me, fear of getting it wrong , many thanks from England U.K.

Hei Lee. Try to go to a local bodyshop and ask for some scrap panels like a hood or doors they have replaced. I bet there is some useable room to practice on those panels. If you have any questions let me know

@@vidicz I really appreciate your reply and encouragment , i got a car wing in my living room, and i had to wait a while for pdr tools from untra dent from the USA , i,m working on trial and error mindset as one approach, i have skills in bodyshop using conventional methods , body filler or bondo as they call it in the U,S, many thanks and i will be asking you many question if i get stuck, cheers , have a nice day from UK .

Mr. Zan type for you from Croatia (Europe). I'm a new member of the PDR society. I'm 35 years old, and I love this job. I've only been in the story 11 months. I own a Dentcraft company set and a keco glue system basic hammers and knockdown. People in this business are rarely open and willing to help like you. Mr Zan i want to start my own business I have 2 kids and I need guidance on what to buy from tools., if there's anything you can do to help me. I'd like to ask you. I'll take a loan from the bank to buy tools. I took the certificate in ayce system ltd england. If you can list, tip, anything. Heyyy.. I tried to get into dent repair, my dad and brother were pretty good at it, i got to a decent starter level at it to where i could at least find where my tool was pressing under a panel, but i had a question. I am reluctant to continue to pursue dent repair because as little hands on experience i've had with it, i've already encountered vision problems after staring at the light reflections, and my dad is legally blind after years of doing it and my older bro says he has vision problems from it as well, so my question is, is there any way to mitigate the strain/damage this line of work does to your eyes? I realize you can make good money with this profession but i don't think it's worth it if it's going to cause permanent damage to my eyes. How do you deal with it?

Do you wear a hat ? I noticed wearing a hat helps a lot from feeling that your looking into light . It’s reduced the strain in my eyes when wearing a hat vs not.

Hei. Honestly I don’t feel like it’s taking a tool on my eyes yet. I feel quite the opposite. I feel that from focusing all the time my eyes are well trained and strong. I do use an LED light which is better for the eyes then a fluorescent light and also looking the reflection of the dent before the reflection “line” of the light.

I noticed Dentcraft Tools has a 30" long Double Bend Rod that is 1/2" diameter also (but about $5 more). Do you recommend the 3/8" for a particular reason, or was it just cost?

I like that smaller diameters to start as they also fit in smaller holes. Of course the 1/2 diameter is good as well. Eventually a person would end up with a bigger diameter tools and the smaller diameter. You can get the bigger diameter at other places as well but this smaller diameter with interchangeable tips is only at dentcraft I believe.
