There are so many other talents wrapped into one person. Denzel is a force that most rappers stay away from because they can't compete on a hardcore spectacle/lyrical level. He reminds me of three stacks in his approach and delivery.

When I first listened to this song I was 15 still living at my moms , didn’t have much going for myself other than school and football , eventually stopped going to school & life changed drastically, I’m 20 now I just got my first car, I’m boutta have my first kid next month , despite not having education I’m blessed to be able to work everyday & it’s things like this that I come back to , because it seems as if these sounds are the only thing that can take us back to those times.
I remember a friend showing me this in high school, probably not right when it dropped but it was new to us, and I remember it was like the best thing I ever heard. Right in English class 10th grade.

It's amazing how Denzel went from making low budget music videos with his friends to paying homage to Blade Runner with full on CGI and whole sets in X-Wing. He's come a long way.
