@@noahbumgarner115 I thought Love was drafted as a corner, the year they took 4, then was converted to safety in camp. Or am I thinking of somebody else?
Maryland fan here, dude is a beast, 6'2 205 he legit just erases guys, and what's scary is Maryland didn't have a strong pass rush so he was on an island alot, and still erased dudes, shut down all the Michigan and Ohio state receivers.
@@BimbleSKOL Vikings would be perfect. He is a poor mans Patrick Peterson. Super physical with tons of speed. All he needs to work on are his ball skills. Which you can fix easy. Everything he has height weight speed. Power. Football smarts he has already. He doesn't wants wide outs to even catch 1 pass. Takes it personal when wide outs make plays on him.
Definitely needed for the Giants..really solid pick..good size and super quick feet. I know alot of people wanted wr for Giants..but none of those guys are a true wr1 anyway..this guy is a perfect pick.
Man I really like this kid. He has good technique, stays on a hip, disciplined hand fighting, good instincts, gets his head around. Just a good cover corner. I actually like him on outside the hash coverage better than Cam Smith or Ringo. I like Cam maybe better in the nickel role and as a tackler vs the run, and Cam might have a higher ceiling overall but Banks is one of my dudes. Love his coverage.
He gets off his receiver quickly when he sees it go to the RB to cover the run. Good aggression without going too far, and he stays on the WRs hip...👍👍
@@matthewscanlan2874 yea over Porter. JPJ living off his daddy name. I don’t think Porter is that impressive. Good prospect but I wouldn’t pick him with my first round selection. 4 or 5 guys at his position with higher ceilings.
Solid coverage against some of the best talents in the conference, big n physical got the size and atheism to hem up guys at the line or stay in soft coverage. w/o getting flag not really great hands but good enough to disrupt wideout out their breaks. can play nickel in some cases. 4rnd easy or higher Giants keep a lookout on banks
Maybe...but there are three corners better than him easy currently in the draft but this class is stacked. I just don't see this guy as a corner 1(which is what you draft a corner for that early.)he looks like a solid 2 though I get some Bradley Roby vibes only taller 🤔
@toolshedbootygoon1677 I worry about his long speed and when he faces explosive route runners with smooth breaks in their routes. He is solid corner 2 but a back half guy for me in the first round. The three I mentioned are just different bro.
I only have 1 critique of this young man and thats that he doesn't jam at the line of scrimmage on pass plays to delay routes and timing. That isn't gonna fly in the NFL. He needs to utilize his size and jam receivers at the line. That is a coachable error though he will be a great CB in my Gmen's Defense!!
@@edtheman28 It’s crazy because a trend may be broken. This team NEVER drafts Maryland players. It’s similar to my hometown, Falcons. They never players from UGA. Nevertheless, outside of Christian Gonzalez and Devon Witherspoon, I’d prefer Emmanuel Forbes, but if not, Deonte Banks will be fine.
@@dustinparsons4404 yea I agree. He’s a top 5 corner for me in this draft. I just wish everyone would have stayed asleep on my boy Witherspoon and he coulda fell to dallas
@zachary1169 sometimes but double moves are hard to stay disciplined on when you are a gambler Physical triats are easy to work on mental ones....not so much🤷♂️
