Yo estuve ahí Vélez a 15 metros de ese escenario magistral como olvidarme viaje desde Neuquén gracias DM saludos a Epson y Anahi fuimos juntos que recuerdo
Amazing performance... you can imagine by watching this video that Dave was completely out of control here in '94 at the end of Devotional tour, in my opinion all members were frustated in some ways of their "life as a Band". But their Sound and Music is perfect anyway, even if they were destroyed emotionally, that is why they are the Best Band ever.
+Sary Tara For sure, when I watch a video from this period I remember how hard it was for them to record SOFAD which is one of their best albums ever without any doubt. I wonder how Dave could sing that well knowing his problems in such a long tour like Devotional + Exotic.
+VideosDepeche ☺In my opinion, I think that Dave was singing better during this Tour while than Violator's one... I do no want to say that before he had a worst voice, of course not at all, but this is my personal opinion that his voice here is more intense and strong. Possibly his personal experiences were affecting his performances on stage by making them deeper & fascinating. I understand that for them it was probably one of their worst periods of their life but the result of album+tour was totally amazing 💟
+Sary Tara His voice was amazing, I know what you mean :) Dave said he could relate to the songs from the album. SOFAD is such a great album to listen anytime.
i had the luck to be in this concert and it is probably one of the best i have ever been to. David was on fire that night and also was the crowd. the concert was in a soccer stadium were the field was all GA and completely out of control
Well, I can give you the most true-like story. I'm from Buenos Aires and I was in the show. What I know is that Dave was so high on heroin that he didn't come out from his camerino when they called him to the stage. So people from security and from the show's organizers went to ascertain what was happening. As Dave didn't answer the door, they had to virtually tear it down to reach him. While that was happening, Dave was in a state of heroin induced delirium, so he thought that they were the policemen who were there to arrest him for drug possession and abuse, and he tried to hide under the bed. When the security, show technicians and others finally got to him, they had to convince him that everything was OK and that they were there to get him to perform on stage. Then he somewhat miraculously regained his senses and well... he performed incredibly like we all know. At the time, of course we didn't know what just happened before the show, but in time we learned this.
