Every time Bredehoft speaks, I have vicarious anxiety for everyone in that room. I feel like I'm back in Elementary school being aggressively condescended to by a burnt-out teacher who realizes halfway through their rant that THEY were in the wrong, yet embarrassingly digs their heels in deeper anyway (and further takes their error out on you). She's so abrasive that even the audience is feeling attacked 😬. I feel like her style makes it darn near impossible to take her points to heart even when she's wholly in the right.

This whole "Mutual abuse" angle that some people are taking is really not floating my boat. Guess what, If someone was abusing me I'd yell at them too and the words I'd be using would be extremely colorful. It doesn't make him an abuser to yell at her, and frankly I think people are more comfortable taking that stance because he's a man. If it was a woman yelling at the person beating the crap out of them they'd be called brave for standing up to their Abuser. (And I say this as a Woman and a Feminist, one who believes in actual equality between the sexes). The trial isn't over yet but so far, all he's done is call her the C word and send douchy texts to friends about her. She's faked injuries, punched him, Took his finger off with a vodka bottle and stubbed a cigarette out on his cheek, I'd be yelling too. I'm not saying he's some perfect little angel, because guess what, those don't exist. Verbal abuse is real of course, but chicken and the egg people, come on! What came first, her tormenting him and him defending himself which then got loud, or something else. So far there's no evidence of anything other than Johnny trying to get away from her and the madness.

His witnessing that punch was huge for his case, though. If he'd prevented it, and the testimony was that he whisked Depp out of the apartment at the point of escalation, or kept Heard at a distance from Depp, I think it would be a minor blip to the jury, at best. At least this way, the jury gets to consider what kind of person would choose to punch someone in the face while their professional security is present; I think that's massive.

@@angelaray5375 It's clear she's lied to her attorneys, a heap. I have to wonder how much of that bruising, redness and swelling in the photos were from Botox and filler. I worked as a medical assistant and OR assistant at a clinic that did cosmetic procedures like injectables and lipo, and bruising like that is super common, especially on very fair skin. We know she cares about that bc she was taking Accutane, and doesn't seem to be struggling with acne, so I would assume it is for the purpose of fine lines etc. Just a thought. I haven't seen the whole trial. Do you know if Botox bruising or Juvederm etc on her cheekbones has been brought up?

@@lisakukla459 I work at the hospital in medical field myself! So shout out to you! And I dont think weve even gotten to her makeup regimen yet. But heres the thing... all these pics with "bruising" dont actually look like it (to me) I can give myself those same marks. In some pics she has darkness under her eyes which could be lack of sleep it looks like to me. And redness on cheeks dont mean anything lol And let's be honestly here, she is so fair skinned that if she did have an actual bruise, it would be extremely hard to cover completely. And then if she was successful in that, what about the swelling? You cant cover swelling. And as a medical prospective, her "broken nose" is not broken. You can bump a nose and make it bleed bad w/o breaking it. They attacks she is describing sound very violent and would most definitely leave injury. If you can take pictures of your dark circles under your eye... where are the pics of you bleeding? Cut up feet? Other injuries? Where is the SA report? And that would need medical intervention. Did they test any bottles for vaginal secretions?... I'm sorry but there are just to may holes! Her "busted lip" looked like skin was peeled off ffs! And all those rings would do alot of damage. Maybe even break a tooth? A news station reached out to Elaine about the pallet not being available until 2017 lol and she tried to back petal bad lol like omg... @@angelaray5375 Hey, alright! 😄 Medical nerds, unite! ✊💙 I had the exact same thoughts. All of them. I'm still catching up, just now getting to Heard's forensic psychologist, and I haven't seen Depp's entire testimony. Going to circle back to that when I can actually watch, as I've mainly been listening as I do other things, usually at 2x speed. I want to give his testimony my full attention and see his gestures and expression. And hers, I guess. 🙄 I fully anticipate theatrics and histrionics, and will try not to vom. A clip came up on my feed shortly after I left my previous reply of Depp whispering to Chew I think during Heard's testimony, and reading his lips (although I am far from an expert) it appears he says, "Those bruises on her eyes... Botox." Idk if it was a real, undoctored clip, but I'll be watching for it when I get to that part. It's hard for me to believe that Depp wouldn't have already pointed that out to his counsel during discovery. They would have seen all the photos Heard would be showing the jury long ago. You'd think they'd want to subpoena the cosmetic physician and at least see if the marks in the photo coincide with her appointments or something. You're right about too many holes. My god this woman is such a rotten piece of shit. Sorry not sorry. 🤭 🤷🏼‍♀️ If Depp actually had laid into her even a fraction if what she describes, she would be incredibly fucked up in the photos. ::Trigger warning:: I have photos of what I looked like after it happened to me and it is very, very apparent; No squinting or magnifying glass required - one quick glance is all you need to know I got beat up, and I wasn't even punched or slapped that time. (Face pushed into furniture and wall caused my cheekbone to swell, strangled with my own forearm - I'm still puzzled by that one - fingernail gouges on my wrists, his gum in my hair, tops of feet bruised from him standing on them, etc etc.) The first cop I encountered, within half an hour to an hour of the event, took pictures of me literally on the spot, as my injuries were so apparent; Tulsa cops are not known to be particularly sympathetic to anyone not middle class white male, so that's saying something. (It's okay, I'm fine now, it was a long time and a lot of therapy ago. 👍) All that to say... This whole thing so far has felt to me like when my little nephew tried to sneak cookies before dinner. He swore up and down he didn't, and he thought he'd outsmarted his mom and gotten away with it, but we were all dying trying not to laugh because _his teeth were still all black from the Oreos!!_ 🤦🏼‍♀️🤣

@@ashleydixon6122 And as we saw, Rotten...born twisted Travis' words on closing arguments. Although Travis did say that "Johnny rearranged her closer for her", he very clearly followed it up by saying that Johnny overthrew almost every rack of clothing, and threw one down the stairs (38:39 onward), and didn't try to pretend that Johnny wasn't angry too or cover for him. However, Rotten...born was then in closing showing the photo of her closet* saying that that was abuse and "they" called it "rearranging her closet"... forgetting to mention that Johnny was paying for maids, servants... who would clean up the mess and put everything back in place so "the little princess" and her freeloading friends wouldn't have to deal with it. During the depositions of those freeloaders one of them admitted they couldn't even be bothered to keep an eye on the dogs when the "principals" weren't around and would just let them shit on the beds, floors, wherever... All that said, and though Travis is too cool for school, I liked the Scottish security guy (Malcom Connely/Connoly?) even better. His tone when talking about Amber... priceless😂🤣! Another very likeable guy in decades-long Johnny's security. Too bad Emily missed *him* . *which, BTW, seemed somewhat larger than the whole apartment I lived with my boyfriend until I finished my doctoral thesis, but that's beside the point, just saying... @@BlackQback Well I mean, Rottenbottom's job was essentially to twist the testimony in a way that framed AH as the victim of abuse. Can't really take fault with him for just doing his job lol. It wouldn't have mattered what verbiage Travis had used, Rottenbottom still would have twisted it to have a more nefarious connotation. Rolling Stone and Forbes aren't online tabloids. Both published stories (in Rolling Stone's case, two) on how Depp's behavior meant he couldn't get viable roles anymore and was facing financial ruin, well before Heard's op-ed. His own agent testified in court that he had become impossible to work with over the past 10 years. He was finished before the Post came along. Then there's the fact that London’s High Court previously found allegations that Depp was a “wife-beater” to be “substantially true.” He'll lose this case in a similar manner. Of course he doesn't care either way, in fact the repeated lawsuits (he also lost an appeal against Heard's requested restraining order) are part of the same pattern.

I have ADHD, raised 3 kids all w/ ADHD, & am a licensed psychotherapist who routinely works w/ clients w/ ADHD. I also work closely w/ a psychiatrist who specializes in treating this population. It’s typical for people who have ADHD to respond quite differently to any kind of stimulant, including caffeine & nicotine. Due to the fact that the ADHD brain filters & fires differently - neurons in the brain fire - stimulant medications, the most commonly prescribed meds for ADHD, have almost the opposite effect on most people w/ ADHD than they would on someone who’s neurotypical. These meds reduce the over-firing of neurons & therefore slow a person w/ ADHD‘s head down, so to say, & they appear externally calmer/less hyper, & can focus & hold attention more effectively as their brain internally calms down as well. If you give a prescription stimulant such as Adderall, which is methamphetamine or essentially, pharmaceutical grade speed, to someone who doesn’t have ADHD, they will likely speed/feel much more awake, animated, & may even seem to be more physically restless &/or act in an externally hyper way. In those w/ ADHD, the external presentation of the hyperactivity almost always decreases w/ the use of stimulants in general. For example, a large percentage of those w/ ADHD can drink a cup of coffee, strong tea, or even a Red Bull before bed & still be able to fall asleep w/ out much difficulty if sufficiently tired. They usually don’t experience the jolt or rush that neurotypicals get from caffeine who use caffeine to wake-up/be more alert. Many w/ ADHD who either vape or smoke nicotine (cigarettes) - Depp also smokes or used to - will often describe that it helps them relax, calm down, & even improve concentration & productivity if engaged in a task. Using myself as an example, when I have lots of clinical notes to complete in one sitting, I’ll often vape more during the period of time I’m writing/typing as I get the task completed much faster than if I didn’t. The rest of the time, I only vape occasionally. When it comes to a stimulating drug like cocaine, those w/ ADHD often experience minimal effects as compared to neurotypical peers ingesting a similar amount … or no effect at all in smaller quantities. It can have a similar effect as stimulant medication does in those w/ ADHD, causing a feeling of relaxation/calm & “chill,” as JD’s personal security, Travis, described in court today. For someone w/ ADHD to get externally hyper or ramped up on a stimulant like cocaine, most would have to take an inordinate amount, & most w/ ADHD don’t at all like the feeling of “speeding” as their ADHD causes them to feel “racy/speedy” on a regular basis w/ out appropriate medication. Speeding does not tend to be pleasant for those with ADHD, so if they use substances, they tend to prefer substances that wind them down a bit like alcohol, opiates, weed, &/or benzodiazepines (Xanax, Klonopin, etc.). In fact, so many people with ADHD love weed as it slows their head down, & in many cases, improves mental clarity. This is consistent with Depp drinking & especially using weed often & becoming deeply dependent on opiates, as they likely slowed his head down, gave him more of a feeling of calm, as well as resulted in the “euphoric effect” common w/ opiates, where life doesn’t look as stressful or hard as it may actually be outside of opiate use. I hope that someone explains to the jury that Depp has ADHD & why he may be affected differently w/ substances like the ones I described here in the stimulant category.

This is what I have been wanting to say.^^^^^ You have a great way with words 🙂 I used to live on coffee, red bulls, I have a prescription for weed. These substances definitely effect me differently than neuro typical person would feel them. I would fall asleep on coffee, weed just helps me focus a bit better, it doesn't change my personality. I have found non prescription drugs kind just make me feel more alert so less distracted I guess. So I don't really bother with them anymore as coffee pretty much does the same thing and who wants to be alert at a gig, lol. I have diagnosed ADHD Tangent over, 😊 thanks, have a nice day

@@GenieLiz - So glad you shared your personal experience as a fellow person with ADHD as it just reinforces the point that I was trying to make. I can also drink anything with caffeine even right before bed and fall asleep. I’ve also heard that same type of thing happening to other people with ADHD.

You know I really loved the expert witness who specialized in PTSD. She went through how people with mental illnesses can be incredibly well functional, likeable, and nonviolent individuals. As a woman diagnosed with CPTSD, Depression, ADHD, and Touretts, I get stigmatized often by people. It also doesn't help that I'm a member of the LGBTQ community. This doesn't change my effectiveness at work or with my friends, family, and partners, it just means I work very hard to be at the level I am in work and a reliable person to those I care about. I'm a manager of a library, the president of a handful of organizations, a member of my city council, and a DM for a weekly D&D game. And I'm (usually) happy, and always proud of where I am in life. I just felt really valued as a person when she testified, and though I'm new to this community, I've felt nothing short of welcomed by the Law Nerds. I would really like to see his team start to ask what drugs they’ve seen her use and her demeanor when drunk or high like they do with Johnny. They could easily trash her argument because she was using mdma, coke, weed, mushrooms & drinking as often as Johnny. Also if these cans of soda she’s frequently throwing are full, partially full or empty. An empty pop can is WAY less threatening than a full one, and they haven’t clarified that any time that I’ve heard them mention it.

I love how Heards lawyers kept bringing up that no one saw a physical contract for pirates 6 as though that means there was no guarantee Johnny would’ve been in that movie. Like…..my guy…Depp is the only reason pirates got to a sixth installment!!!! Who else were they gonna cast?!?

Elaine's only card is The UK trial, she doesn't have anything else. And she still complains that the ruling didn't come in-but she was sly enough to slip it in piece by piece. And still they lost, as they should have.

She hasn't been consistent. They scream hearsay all the time but read articles and things from RU-vid and bloggers all the time. Why isn't that hearsay ??

From what I understand, they can read articles and such because they’re submitted as evidence and the pieces essentially speak for themselves. But Hearsay is when a witness tries to testify as to the words/opinions/feelings of another person who is not on the stand. Everyone can read an article and come to their own interpretation regardless of what the lawyers say, but if someone testifies that another person said blahblah that’s not fair because we have to take the witness’s word for it and their interpretation of what someone else said.

It is heresay, but they aren't being included for the truth of the matter but to make a point, so the judge allowed it. When Depp was testifying, his lawyers did object.

Attorney in Texas and first time viewer/lover of your channel. The contemporaneous analysis is so helpful to myself as a pretrial, 3rd year attorney. I would ask that you consider that the legal intelligence of your audience has grown, mostly due to your amazing ability to relate to both layman as well as legal professionals. We, and I mean attorneys, if I can be so bold to announce representation, are so pumped that you represent a practical and relatable mentor/cypher to the miasma that seems intentional on the part of the defense. Can you discuss at any point when you see the defense intentionally making any situation more complicated than the facts presented? Is there an angle for the P that should be analyzed in closing, I.e. such as your commentary on the D making the witnesses all “yes men?” Thanks 🙏🏻
