Africans born in Africa seem to be so intelligent! Africans born in Africa live very successful lives here in Dallas, Texas. We were taught in grade school life was hard in Africa because the continent was so war torn, impoverished and corrupt governments. Now, I’m older with time, study and research life looks more peaceful and calmer in Africa. Family values, morals and spirituality is more stable in The Motherland.

If the morals were so stable there wouldn’t be so many tribal wars, if Africons were so intelligent you would refine your own resources. The proof is in the pudding, dude. It’s not the government it’s the people who accept the government decisions. Take responsibility for your mommy land, dude💖. Kindest Regards❤️🇺🇸

@@adosinventedcountryrockhip6583 I'm African American, but you slow.. You might need to do your research the past 6 years the leaders of Africa are making some real changes for better.. The are making strategic moves like never before Ghana is giving citizenship to black Americans now, and not cause the like us.. Dual citizenship is powerful.. goods and services can be imported with more benefit to Africans and the ability for ability for African Americans to build business to compliment Africa While at the same time declining in aid from America ( and they never done that before) Truly strategic I might have missed the plot but I see the play...lol The African and US summit was this week when they declined all aid. Africa has linked up with China tough the past 5 years.. And on the low Africa is inspired by China, just look at China 60 years ago to current (major change) So give it some time but is on there way to greatness I see it.. I not African But I give credit when credit is due..

Both the Africans living abroad and those who remained behind were cheated to beleive abroad was heaven on earth. Forgive yourself and your people back home who depend on you with impunity. In fact, forgive each other. Africa is your Mother land and it will remain so forever. No one can change that fact and truth including yourself. All of you who have ventured abroad , I salute you. You are strong and adventurers. You have widened your understanding and live no more in fantasy. You are the great people Africa needs now. You can advice better with experience and understanding. Take courage and come back home . Smart people will help you settle down. Fear not the laughter of fools and the ignorant. They have run down their relatives and the continent! Ignore them.

Although im educated i didnt get to work because i hv no family here and don't trust childcare. I have been supporting my mother and sisters back home as well as the occasional relative. It has really been depressing for me and hard to make friends. I made a few but we drifted apart because no one makes time for another and everyone is busy chasing life. I too fear ridicule from the people back home especially because they wont understand why i chose to stay home. I decided to move to another country for now, out of the west as its too lonely here. Im excited and fearful. When we are young we are so excited to become adults but have no clue how complicated it is to be an adult with all the ups and downs and sacrifices.

Yes I agree life abroad can be very challenging for many different reasons and one can find themselves stranded when in desperate need. I experienced a difficult transition (South Africa to UK) which actually caused me mild ptsd. Got thrown in the very deep end of a challenging nursing job and had to traverse the qualification route since we were regarded as not qualified enough. Long brutal hours on my feet and some rude, racist patients to endure. Some narcissistic, bullish colleagues and one even asked me "what are you?" and "why did you come here?" Imagine having no family to turn to and shallow friends who move on when the mood changes. But thank God for the earth-angels I also met who were a guiding light in my life. They were the ones who gave me hope even though I wanted to pack and leave within the first week! And accommodation issues were on another level - landlords are only out to fleece you with mental rents. My husband and children were only able to join me after 2 painful years apart, this was my worst experience being away from my children. The local British are a bit strange in that they are inconsistent with their moods and you usually find yourself walking on eggshells trying to maintain friendships with them hence my preference to keep light company with other immigrants especially Philippine or Polish. An ex-colleague of mine settled well with her husband and 2 kids from the get go because her in-laws were very supportive financially and she had a brother here already settled who supported them tremendously. 15 years of an upward trajectory for them and then he meets a Caucasian local teenager and has an affair which eventually broke the marriage, the family, the "perfect foundation" she would regularly brag about because she enjoyed narcissistic comparing herself to me who had difficulties. She was 48 years old and the mistress was 18 years old I kid you not! This is what some husbands can do to their ageing wives when abroad! He deserted this middle aged woman who had bore him 3 kids by then. Extended relatives don't dare ask me for money because I don't owe them a living and therefore tell them I don't have the kind of funding they are hustling for. I have only consistently supported my mother, my sisters and their children...and a few charities close to my heart. I will never ever be rich here unless I win the lottery which will never happen. I will never ever be rich here because I am supporting my family as the breadwinner (my husband is on very low pay because he is not a graduate - professional) I will never ever be rich here because the cost of living is astronomical and saving is almost impossible with all the responsibilities. I will never ever be rich here because key workers are treated with such contempt by the government that we have to strike to get our demands heard. We have to work long and hard before we can retire at 68 by which time it's too late to enjoy life because we will probably fall over dead👻

The expectations from back home is one of the biggest problems. The truth is we love to help our families but some people want to pressure you on when and what to give them. We might earn more money than back home but same way we pay a lot for bills. Some people think it's like we live here for free. We're also trying to save money so we don't live this kind of life forever. Saving money for school so we get better jobs. Some people feel bad when you say you don't have money. Some people want to brag with you back home and ask everyone to invite you for fundraising. Some people want you solve all your village issues. Some family members even parents on some instances cannot be trusted with finances. Every time you see a call your heart skips because it's most likely another ask. But by God's grace we survive and we keep strong

Also the other issue is many Africans of certain communities generally find it hard to commune together. There's too much individualism, in some cases jealousy, lacking unity that finds many in these situations. I have observed certain communities like Indians, Chinese, Koreans etc, those guys have such strong community, it's rare for them to move without their family, but even for those who do move abroad alone, they have a strong community who will welcome them. If you're an African who came here all alone with no "close" family or long time friends, just be prepared for a long journey ahead.

Every thing said is the truth. To our families back in Africa, we are nothing but a Bank. It's work, work, work and work, to support our families back in Africa. I put a stop to this because it was not appreciated. It makes them lazy. You can't be over here working for other people to live a good life. After many years of helping them, i said they should be able to survive without my support. You can't live a good life on charity. It stops people from thinking for themselves. Let them also hustle for life in Africa. Ask yourself, if it was them abroad, would they send you money.😭😭😭😭💔💔💔

Hello Alicia just watched your video and everything you've said is the complete truth. I've lived in the Uk for years and I still find it depressing and lonely, I had to leave London as it was even worse there, ie expensive, no community spirit amongst black people, knife crime in areas with a lot of poverty (mainly areas with a lot of black people) and crab in a barrel mentality amongst many black people. I respect the fact that you are honest about how life really is here in the West and you are not painting a false picture, the other thing to be aware of is racism, it is embedded in the system and can affect your ability to progress as a black person, the only way you can block out the misery here as a black person is if you have a supportive family or friendship group. As you rightly said you are very much on your own and eventually this takes a toll on your mental health, this is why black people are over-represented in the mental health hospitals here in the UK.

These days seems life is all about money and self centered, whether abroad or in Africa. People focus on making and getting more and more money than loving and caring for their family and neighbors as they would want to be loved and cared for. it's been said "Love your neighbor as you love yourself.." but most of us live loving money even more than we love ourselves. That's why some Africans abroad have been known to work long hours everyday on two or three jobs and end up exhausting themselves to death, all in the name of making money, building house (s) in Africa, helping relatives back home and putting their kids in expensive schools abroad. Africans abroad must adjust their thinking and value system and stop competing with one another or showing off to their people at home that they have this or that and are at a higher level cos they are abroad. Love and do what you can to meet your basic needs and sleep well. If things don't work well abroad go back to Africa, doesn't matter who laughs at you returning home. If you get old, like past 50 years old or even 60 plus it's best to return home if. You had a plan in place to do so. Otherwise, being a senior citizen abroad is a challenge that Africans need to review before they have to face it

Yeah! No community, life abroad is unfortunate and the climate takes you into depression. They really like people with money, hardship will age you. Saying this as someone from the Caribbean diaspora, it's only faith in God and being with my spouse. If I go back home I will have peace even for sometime. It's reality! For me i met some Africans, and they've been decent but language is a barrier so it doesn't count much.

'Ann Nafula G' is the channel of a happy kenian woman living with children and german husband in a good house in a german village. She met the german husband in Kenya, is married since 10 years and shows her life, cooking and gardening in her channel. This year again she spent holidays in Kenya with the whole family. Husband is providing nicely and she does not need to work outside. People in german villages respect foreigners who are authentic, integrated and do nice farming. Personally I had an african husband who was depressed and spent all his money in shopping so he could never travel home. Me too I would get depressed in Dubai and would never travel to such a place without real forests and green nature. Especially I avoid moslem countries out of experience.

The reason why many are depressed is because of these people back home, if you don't have back home people bugging you, you will definitely be fine. Abroad life is all about balancing work and social life If you want to make it abroad you have to be selfish with your money and ignore this black tax. Also learn to live within your means or buget many people abroad especially in within the african community like to show off getting things they can't generally afford on their normal income just to flex.
