Oh wow thats amazing, thanks for sharing it. so many interesting glimpses of the past will have to watch it a few times 07:36 I dont remember seeing that in the museum, terrible that its the first iron aqueduct in the world and it was scrapped ! 08:49 wow I didnt know they slid that bridge into place. 14:19 the footbridge over to St Mary's church that has since been replaced. 15:42 is that St Peters street? trying to look for clues 15:48 I dont recognise that location. Really love this old footage so much.
Seeing how they built notts Rd bridge I ride under that on me bike to work everyday il never see it in the same way again. Shame most of it's all overgrown and that Gastly bus station. Also I agree I've never seen that piece in the museum. 😂 awesome footage it really is. I wish I was old enough to of seen it back then.
@@robf1970 just going by that fact thats its clearly a footbridge, I do have a photo of the old one before it was replaced in 2007 by the current one but not sure where.
The inner ring road really did destroy some beautiful parts of derby but obviously it was needed ive got photos me late grandad took of old derby its to unrecognisable nowadays
