This game gave me an idea for a serious meta horror game. Make a game that plays like Legend of Zelda for the NES and make it play in chapters. Throw in some 2Spoopy stuff(so when it gets tagged horror the game isnt immediately spoiled like DDLC was). In the game you start off in your home village and youre able to talk to everyone one of the "NPCS" notices a glitch. With every Chapter a "Patch" is released with Release notes like "Patch 1.05.1 -Fixed minor bugs." Next Chapter suddenly the "NPC" who noticed the glitch is gone. Their existence is wiped, you cant ask about them and no one remembers them but the Devs quick "Patch" opens a Pandoras Box. The "NPCs" are beginning to remember things they shouldnt know as though they had actual Lives. Chapter 3 New Patch 1.05.2 -Fixed erratic NPC behavior. Village and overall map looks slightly different NPCs are now back to usual but theres a few bugs like trees glitching out some of the houses have inverted coloring(as though the Dev is an amateur programmer and is rushing out these patches) and one or two of the NPCs have retained their memories and have fully remembered their actual Lives but dare not speak about it out in the open. Chapter 4 New Patch 1.05.3 -Fixed Minor bugs. New NPC quests are available and most of the bugs are patched out but the Dev didnt notice the NPCs retaining their memories and some have gotten their previously erased memories back now theres a Movement in the game with the NPCs trying to secretly discover whats going on. Some of them have figured out its a game and youre an Outsider playing it so they ask you to do random fetch quests. On the surface it looks like just everyday stuff like kill 5 spiders and etc( they do this to fool the Dev) but one of the fetch quests is to retrieve a hidden Diary that only YOU know how to get. This is where you will get most of the backstory. Diary is for the player with actual instructions on what to do and why this game was made. Basic Creepypasta stuff. Original maker lost all of his friends and family in an accident. Finds a way to store their memories/souls in game. Hes about to pass away so he gives the game to someone he trusts because he cant bring himself to destroy his friends and family. That current owner is the Dev who is now playing God also includes instructions on how to re-add characters, adjust the players character and etc. Chapter 5. New Patch I. KNOW. Release NOtEs(there arent any) Everything has been wiped clean save for the landscape. Billions of enemies everywhere. The Players main weapon has glitched and when swung is now the size of the map. Inverted Discoloring everywhere. This is where it gets Meta. YOU have to go into the actual Game Files and manually re-add the NPCs, delete the Updater, fix the game, go back into the game and save which sets everything to a NG+ status where youre now basically the Savior and God of the game able to do anything as you please. Want 9999+ ATK. Done. Wanna spawn in the End Boss. Done. Just a random idea I had.

This reminds me of a game but I can't remember the name, where the voice was text and you could either obey the text or rebel. if you obeyed things got more stable and black and white but if you rebelled there got to be more colour. The game was a simulation of an abusive parent basically. I wish I could remember the name of it but it's way far back in my internet history

The girl at the end is kara. In the first game, she was meant to be killed. Seeing her come back is a big reveal to the people who played the prequels.

As someone who has been working on a small game myself(just coding so far) I understand the pain of bugs. Finding the source of a bug in a mountain of code is a pain in the ass. Which is why I sympathize with the dev.

I like how the dev has to get rid of ghost from the code like they're just pests.

That was kind of interesting for the longest time, but then it turned really corny all of a sudden.

I like your sense if humor so I've been binging your videos. its giving me ideas for a little pixelated horror game of my own. I have most of the plot figured out, and all the character sprites have already been made. I have the ingredients for something great.

Your video helped me on some tricky parts in my opinion (mainly the parts where you slide into the blocks and how to get the DAMN save grave by the gun!) thanks so much for the upload man!

To be honest i really liked the gameplay, its a simple plataformer but i didn't expect the "puzzles" to have that kinda of progression. I really liked how there was always a new gimmick for the player to master and that the game always improved that, i know this is just how progression works but breath of the wild for example didn't really had that progression and most puzzles just felt like the same without really improving the difficulty of the gimmick. The story is kinda cringe sometimes maybe even immersion breaking i don't really know the intentions of the dev there, its so cringe that i was expecting the girls to say that the dev is actually The DEVil.

I love the manly talk at the end, and together with the music, it ended up being so relaxing! ^o^ Edit: OH GOD! The ending end-

Meta horror is always fairly interesting, and I'd say this game does it well enough. Fun platforming too, it's kind of weird seeing some of that on the channel and not a stream but it was nice. Not much to comment on the story, both endings make it pretty obvious who is the evil side of the argument. The highlight for me was definitely you glitching the ball out, I thought that was really funny.

Meta horror? So this is the next game that everyone will say is the best thing ever. Honestly though it looks fun. Edit: It is also cheesy as hell. Like damn it jumps the shark near the end. Edit2: Wow, the ending is bad.

Y'know when I downloaded this game a long time ago. I rage quit. Which reminds me of another yandere game which remained open no matter what.

I think that its kinda cool that practically a family made this game.

This was an interesting game. In the end they werent really yanderes. unless yanna was a yandere. it did a good job of making me question who was telling the truth or not. Tight platforming and decent mechanics. i wonder how the first game was. anyway it was a solid game i really love the ending XD

I love that game! And i really like end, when you're not deleting Yanna and/or Myles, even if in cause you didnt do that, you stuck in the game(maybe. I dont really know. Firs time i thought that that was game dev)

_Oh noes! Not the destruction of anime waifus!_ (O.O`) Very cute. I think the meta-game backstory was the part that really didn't work for me. The idea of AIDE being potentially untrustworthy, the dev, & maybe the one other girl Yanna would have been enough. I think I agree with you that I didn't quite follow the plot, but I don't think it really mattered in the end. The platforming was enjoyable & you are totally too pro with your speedrun strats, MBH!!! :D

ffs, manly. the thumbnail made me almost pissed my pants. it's almost 12 am and i'm in a dark room, alone. EDIT: I watched this 13 mins in. I don't know if you know this, but there are other games related to this game (I think? Haven't finised watching the video yet). They are called 'The Last Yandere' and 'Dere.exe'. Dere.exe is similar to this one, but it's a little bit more harder than this I think. (I rage quited at Level Four, I was so pissed that I uninstall the game. But it's still an excellent horror game to me though.) I was thinking about downloading the new game, but I don't want to rage quit again. I know I haven't watch the whole video, but good video, man. When there's a prequel and you watched the sequel of the prequel first. Now to go cleanse my eyes and brain with bleach and to regain my tiny bit of innocence that was ripped out of me. Alright, I've seen enough comments mocking the writing because they haven't seen the rest of the story. I will now describe every major plot point for every previous entry of the series: 1. Proto Dere - Introduction of the Rotschstein Institute - Introduction of conciousness being uploaded to games - Introduction of Sara (only appearence) 2. The Other Yandere - Large exposition dump - Intro of Dr. Rotschstein and his assistant Lilith. - Intro of Kara - Intro of the Yandere project - Yandere are bioengineered weapons that look and act like young women so that they can sneak into a targets organization and kill the target. - Reveal that Rotschstein Institute has alien tech. - A yandere rebellion occurs shutting down the project. 3. Sorority Rites House Tour (Easter egg game) - Introduction of the ghost Yanna 4. Sorority Rites (Visual Novel) - Introduction of Myles - Introduction of AppSir inc. - Myles enters a mansion under duress and meets Yanna. - Introduction of the Trinemesis - Death of Yanna revealed (cause of death: Trinemesis) - Sample of Yanna's brain tissue taken at some point. - Death of Myles (cause of death unknown) - Yanna gets her revenge on the girl who got her killed. -Yanna and Myles' souls/consciousnesses get trapped in AppSir system somehow (Currently unexplained) 5. The last Yandere (Visual Novel) - Reappearance of Kara, Dr. Rotschstein, and Lilith. - Intro of Darius Guerrera. - Explanation of the Trinemesis - The Trinemesis is a an ancient alien weapon that few can control. The main character of the game is one such person but the weapon systems can't be activated without killer instinct. - Revelation that Kara is a conciousness that has been extracted from the real person (from the yandere project) and implanted in mc's head to provide killer instinct. - Destruction of a city by the Trinemesis. Death toll 10,000+ - Kara turns attack onto Dr. Rotschstein and Lilith, gets wiped for turning on her creators. - Revelation that AppSir inc. opposes the Rotschstein Institute. - Real Kara Gentner escapes from her imprisonment at the Rotschstein Institute. - All other girls in the yandere project either get killed or wake-up dead. Kara is the last one living. 6. Dere.exe - Created by AppSir inc. - Reappearance of Kara - AI program becomes corrupted. - Deletion of Kara for destroying a city. -Darius apparently got help from Yanna and Myles to do this. 7. Dere Evil.exe -The girl who appears briefly at the end and says, "Where am I?" is the conciousness of Kara brought back by AIDE.

I believe I got the whole story on a summary now after watching vids on Sorority Rites, The Last Yandere, The Other Yandere, Dere.exe, and Dere Evil. This is probably spoilers to most of the games, so be warned for that. To start off with, Lilith, who is supposedly the sister of the main protagonist in The Last Yandere (The brother is very important here) works alongside doctor rotschstein (also someone named Bijuu, but that was only mentioned once in The Other Yandere), who planned to kill most of humanity using a Triangle-shaped device that can be controlled by the brother's mind. They worked on building Yanderes, biologically engineered weapons given the form of young women that's purpose was to infiltrate organizations, probably to gain information and be responsible for mayor homocides. Despite that, the most we know is that they only destroyed an entire city using Kara (the last yandere) and the brother (a person that had a tumor in their head that was cured by the same doctor who worked with Lilith, which possibly is the reason he was capable of controlling the Triangle-shape device) but then both Lilith and the doctor were killed by the device they wanted to use to dominate the world with thanks to Kara using it agaisnt them, which resulted in her deletion afterwards. Lilith, doctor rotschstein, and Bijuu worked in a laboratory which they disguised as a church dormitory disguised as nuns, where they raised all of the yanderes. Their reasoning was a fake belief that they were descendants of higher beings, aliens. It's not known whether the person called Bijuu is still alive or not, but the detective called Darius Guerrero who appeared in The Last Yandere is now looking for revenge, but it's unknown agaisnt whom. My theory is that Darius is looking for revenge agaisnt Kara or every other digital being like Myles or Yanna because he believes they are responsible for destroying the city, either way, he thinks they are too dangerous so that's the main reason he wants to delete them in the first place. Myles and Yanna are girls who fell victim to the Triangle-shaped device aswell, which is probably the reason why they are digital now, this is because it was mentioned before that the device is capable to transfer minds into a digital version of them. The brother is living a normal life after the whole ordeal, but the detective is still trying to delete them once and for all, when the city was destroyed I think the detective barely managed to survive, which would imply why his voice seems like it's behind a mask; probably he had to go through different kinds of treatments for his face that was affected by the blast from the triangle-shaped device. That's about all I have to say, I think, tell me if I missed any details by replying to this comment.

Even if I don't watch for awhile, when I come back it's still the same thing I'm familiar with without it having changed or turned weird like lots of the other channels have. This game, (as a platformer), on a technical/mechanical perspective is really good. Some of the concepts would be stellar in a full platfotmer, and it would probably make a sweet speed running game.

The flashbacks of when I played this. Did you also have a weird issue where you'd be moving, but your character just runs in place, liek an invisible wall that shows up whenever? Not a feature, imo. I found by using the right analogue stick on a controller to move while jumping with the face buttons wrapping my hand weirdly xD That never got frozen by a wall. it tried so hard, but it only got so far. Some neat ideas, with some shakey programming and story features that could've been baked a bit longer. ( also, you can in fact clear the Arkanoid section, and I also got my ball stuck the exact same way. ) It's scary how similar our playthroughs went.
