People can say what they want about Freddie Starr, BUT what they can't do is take away the FACT that he was a true born entertainer. Great singing voice, and great comedy humour! If only we had the likes of him today! RIP Freddie, you really were a STARR!
People can say what,? That he was subjected to by the Police and the almighty BBC accusing him of something he hadn't done. Innocent bloke hounded for 19 months. In poor health to start with. A heart condition and asthma. Well they must be happy now because he is Dead!! Shame on them and his accuser. You should say anyone is guilty of a crime without any evidence! Only to be found innocent. His career and mental and physical health was damaged. And probably no apology from anyone for the disgrace and humiliation he suffered. This man entertained us for over 50 years! Where were his so called friends when he need help.? Absolutely no where to be found!! Poor Freddie surely one or more of his showbizz friends could have given him a loan to clear his debts and get him back on his feet again. It's a tradgedy! It's true as the song say Nobody knowsyou when you are down and out. Human beings make me sick!! Freddie you are missed and loved many of your fans. What more can I say! Wish we could have saved you. ☹️
Sad that we will never see such pure magic again. The rubbish that they call entertainment can't hold a candle to Freddie. God bless for all the joy and laughter you gave.
how the hell could you keep a straight face with This absolutely FANTASTIC and VERY funny guy on the same show. Rest In Peace and from the bottom of all our hearts we salute you and we Thank You Freddie for the many tears of laughter.
These were the great of British television and entertainment. I miss all of these personalities, reminds me of growing up in the 60s and 70s absolutely brilliant...RIP you pair of legends 💜

I've watched all the Freddie clips read alot of comments but not read how similar his life ended to that of Elvis his idle. So much talent comes at a steep price.
Des O'connor must be very saddened these days knowing he has outlived all the best stage comedians Britain has ever made. Freddie, Morecambe & wise, Les Dawson and Ken Dodd but to name a few. We will always miss them all as well in our hearts and minds.
