I memorize the pieces. Especially in case I play them live at some point. It's simply practice and probably muscle memory by the end. For some I force myself to at least write down the chords as a tab just in case I forget something, but that's just for practice at home. Well, I do sometimes forget parts of the songs after a while. I actually had to relearn this song in Bavaria from my own original video before I made this recording, haha. But it usually comes back to me quickly.
