It's still crazy that we saw Cameron Boyce as a normal, fun, joyful, energetic guy who's just doing what he's good at and all of the sudden we lost him forever like a movie that ends abruptly. Cameron's death was one of few celebrity death that actually hurt me so much. I was younger than him at the time when he was alive and now i'm passed his age, it feels so weird for some reason 😭

Idk how sad this'll sound, but he passed the summer before my freshman year of college, and it took me a while to understand why it affected me so much. His death really felt like it signaled the end of my childhood in a way.

I’m not very emotional but Cameron’s death hit me really hard because 1. I loved him as an actor and dancer (my crush too) and 2. We were both the same age and it felt so sad someone my age abruptly left us😭

Since you asked who they were, the actress for Mal is Dove Cameron and the actress for Evie is Sofia Carson! The actor for Jay is Booboo Stewart (who you might recognize as the young werewolf Seth from Twilight) and the actor for Carlos was Cameron Boyce (who we all love and miss dearly)

Rest in peace, Cameron Boyce AKA Carlos. You were taken from us far too soon. I love this movie. Sure, parts of this movie can be a bit cheesy, but it's fun seeing so many homages to Disney's classic movies, fantastic elements in a modern setting has always been an interesting concept to me, and some of these songs are actually pretty fire. ("Rotten To The Core" being my personal favorite.)

Kenny Ortega is one of my favourite filmmakers ever. Everything he touched on Disney makes it even better, i was blown away that he was the choreographer for the High School Musical and the Descendants movies. This man is incredibly talented, awesome to know that Disney awarded him with a "Disney Legend" award few years ago. Almost half of my childhood were in Kenny's hands, love it 🙌

Something that was in the 1st prequel book is that both Ben and Mal had dreams of each other in their respective homes, which is what led Ben to come up with the idea of bringing the Vks over to Auradon.

This was the closest Disney Channel ever got again to the High School Musical success and I find these movies to be a cute fun time. Made by Kenny Ortega who did HSM as well! I watched all these as an older teen in 2019 when I heard about Cameron’s death (was a fan from Jessie), and I’m glad I did cuz they’re honestly pretty alright

What is left out of the movie but in the book series is that the food on the isle of the lost is never fresh. It is the disposed of food from Aurodan. The reaction in the limo is, oh my god, fresh food. Which is really sad. Yes, they are villains, but how is it any better to trap them and any future generations on the island with barley the basics. Everything is given to them second hand or in worse conditions.

Cameron Boyce (Carlos/Cruella’s son in this movie) passed away in 2019. He was in Disney channel a lot as a kid and was also in both grown up movies. Dove- Mal was Disney actress too, Sofia Carson/ Evie Disney actress. And Boo-boo Stewart- first acting role was in Twilight. But before he started acting acting he was a stunt double. :)

🌪️ hey Tara, hey Greg. Just a little fun fact, the tilted angle scenes with the bad kids is an old trick they used to use to denote when the bad guys are around. They used to use that on the Batman TV show back in the 60s. Whenever the villains were on screen, they would tilt the camera slightly at an angle so visually, you can see that they were “ crooked”.

I haven’t seen the other Descendants movies but I loved this first one, the cast is amazing. Of course we have Cameron Boyce (Cruella’s kid) who was very talented Dove Cameron who was on Liv and Maddie and has a successful music career. Booboo Stewart who played Seth in Twilight Sofia Carson who’s done a bunch of projects with Disney and two on Netflix.

A little more info on Dove. She led the Disney Channel show Liv and Maddie, where she play twins that are complete opposites. One twin is a basketball player and the other twin is a pop star. She did both parts perfectly. Also the actor who played Belle, Keegan Conner Tracey, was on Once Upon a Time as the Blue Fairy.

R.I.P Cameron Boyce, taken from us too soon, he is deeply missed. Fun fact, the video game that Carlos and Jay are seen playing is actually from one the first Dinsey XD shows called Aaron Stone, which was sadly canceled when they decided to focus more on comedy than action/adventure.

Not only is Kenny Ortega a Disney legend, but he was also set to choreograph Michael Jackson’s This Is It concerts. He ended up directing the movie documentary for it due to MJs passing. It’s probably the reason you’ll see some MJ moves in the choreography

I know that this is based off of a book series. I never read it myself, but I remember seeing someone mention in another reaction video that Carlos is noted in the books and being very tech savy, which explains him figuring out the security code.

The books are based on the movies. Rare, I know, it's usually the other way around. I think the first book was released maybe a month or two before the first movie and that one is a prequel. I've never read them but I hear they're good 😊
