If anyone cares for a bit of a possible story background to this battle here it is. A Coalition carrier attempting to salvage a previously hidden wreck site is pursued by two Gaalsien carriers when they stumble upon a massive Khaaneph battle group attempting to scavenge the wreck for themselves. Realizing they stand no chance alone against the hoard of Khaaneph, the three captains put aside their differences and form a temporary alliance in an effort to survive the upcoming onslaught. Will their combined forces be enough to see them through, or will their blood and shattered carriers litter the sands as the Khaaneph silently swarm over them?
I don't even play this game anymore but I really like these videos. I play a game called Planetside 2 and although totally different genres, the epicness of this game reminds me of it. So keep it up!
Obviously every time you post it's an exciting moment and I rush to watch, but I have to agree with you, this was also just a very thrilling match. Full of big artillery strikes, bold plays, a defiant last stand, it told its own little narrative throughout and all the players, I think, did pretty well. The fact that it was so close helped the tension a lot, thanks for this cast.
Deserts of Kharak require an additional installment of EGS files now; and the game became online-only. Launching it with no connection causes an immediate shutdown.
21:08 Coalition carrier seen trying to lift off and take flight after the desertion of it's two allies (to no avail) For real that was insane, I'm really happy to see this game still has an active following after all these years and there's insane mega battles like this that happen. I'm finally getting into the game! Hopefully while my life is going pedal to the metal RN I can still find time to play and be a part of the community.
19:53 Gaalsien carrier go "Oh crap GTG, my people need meeeeeeee". At 20:00 a Khaaneph railgun somehow shoots the majestic soaring hunk of metal that is the seemingly airworthy Gaalsien carrier and seems to be the cause for it's destruction, the delay was because the carrier had accelerated to sub-orbital speeds and the round took time to catch up it's definitely not because they conceded no no why would you think that. This is my head cannon now: the deserts of Kharak are ruled by a triple Khaaneph cluster and even with a flight capable full health carrier there's no escape upon encountering them.
Ya coming back for HW3 Dream? I’m a new player here in the Homeworld’s Universe and I gotta tell ya I love the game it’s one of a kind and look forward to the future of this Franchise..
@@Dreamlands15 its free to play and the dune game mode has everything unlocked so you don't need to grind anything to actually be effective. though the DL size is a bit much...
I, for one, do NOT like DoK being turned ALWAYS-ONLINE. Nor having to install chinese software to run a game I bought on steam. Epic users can stay in their bile for all I care, if that's how I'm supposed to pay for such "cross-platforming".
@@Gpz0 This has nothing to do with wanting to see more battle recordings or not. I'm subscribed and would sure watch anything dropped. It's about the cost we must pay for implementing this patch. Besides, face it. Without arranging lobbies via discord, there would be nothing to record and hardly any matches formed in quite some time now. Merging with Epic isn't worth getting chinese spyware. What sort of company forces their customers to suffer such things? Not to mention these new players, who got the game for free, will not stay for long anyway (especially not after being matched with veterans in multiplayer).
@@riesstiu2khunning I just wanted you to say you wanted to see more stuff from Dreamlands so your initial comment isn't completely negative. I really do hope you'll enjoy HW3 with me when it releases on *steam* and if Dreamlands comes back.
Honestly at 18:07 red could've won the game by just pushing all 3 carriers and that giant swarm of skimmers into saymyname's railgun blob. it was over once that long range superiority would be lost. Even at 18:58 when they nuked that railgunblob the skimmers could've wiped the stragglers instantly.
so if have to take the low end on one side, the map probable wants you to take the opposite side on the opposite side no? i was going through my library and i havent touched this game since i bought it years ago but I had to know if the pvp was any good. I like to watch stuff because playing rts require 200+ inputs a second or whatever. I can barely find the right chair lol
16:42 I almost chocked seeing the sensor markers of Team 1 (Red), XCUSE ME IS THAT 5 BASERUNNERS!!?? WHY IN SAJUUK'S NAME ARE THERE 5- I'm being trolled it's okay calm down
Ive been veey busy lately so Ive had no time to play or cast. I will when i have time tho. I recommend joining both the official HW discord, and my channel discord. Many players in those.
This game looks really good. Im enjoying my current rts game and I post replays and other stuff but i am thinking about trying another strategy game. Grey goo, ashes of the singularity, the newest supreme commander and this game look like my best options. I am not considering the other homeworld games because this is the newest example of them. I like grey goo because it reminds me of universe at war which i liked alot but i cant decide which is best. Im not keen on leaving the game i play though now its really good.
Hey Dreamlands, saymyname, if its the same person, is a high level age of empires 2 player.. probably top 30 in the world. Not sure if its same person though
