Deserts of Kharak Lore - Part 1 

You tell it well, but one thing that carries forward is that this setting is INCREDIBLE and I wish we could have more games related to the history of Kharak. It is honestly crying out for a Total War/Crusader Kings/Europa Universalis esque game following the rise of Kharakid civilisation and the Heresy wars etc.

Disclaimer: I use the term "next week" loosely. Very, very loosely. lol

Deep, complex and belivable - just what a lore video should be!

One thing not listed here (as it doesn't pertain directly to anything played) was that the people of Kharak were forcibly exiled some 3000 years before the Kushan was built (I almost feel like the word Kushan would be the Kharakian/Hiigaran word for mother or perhaps Kush is the word and the suffix -AN denotes carrying or a ship obviously conjecture and I get a little too into the lore of the series). So there is some 1500 years or so where those who survived basically did nothing else and while writing and spoken language survived their history was forgotten until the time that Kiith Nabaal revealed themselves.

Might be a bit late to this, but it is worth mentioning: The Gaalsien were ultimately right in their beliefs. It's entirely possible, and in fact almost guaranteed, that both as a combination of their salvaging of alien shipwrecks in the deep deserts and possible tribal knowledge passed down all the way from the very first planetfall at Kar-Toba that they knew about the exile from Higaara by the Bentusi and Taiidani, and that there would be a profound punishment done by them if they broke the treaty and entered into spaceflight again. Which, as we know, happened EXACTLY as they prophesied in Homeworld 1.

Thank you for breakdown of the lore of HWDoK. I have recently started playing it and absolutely floored by game. This really helped me understand how massive the world of Home World is and totally invested in it for the foreseeable future in its other parts

So underrated!

Can someone please go on a fanfic site after reading the lore and history and write a complete history from the time the Kushan was an empire, to when they were sent away, to their time on the planet and through the games. It would hundreds of thousands of words but it would be well worth it. I'm shocked no books have been written since interest would spark. Written right, they could be on the same level as the best scifi sagas such as Dune and Star Wars.

You will all feel the wrath of Sajuuk.

Great video. I kinda picked up Most of the lore, but it's a great summary and containers some nice details that slipped me by before. Also, since I don't own any hardware that can run Deserts of Kharak, I greatly enjoy all the closeup footage of the deserts and vehicles.

Getting back into Homeworld. I hope you'll be making content for HW3! Just wanted to say you have great cadence in this video. Some people talk really fast to get tons of information or because of inexperience / nervousness. Easy listening here, though.

In 13:00 min you able to talk about the planet, Kiith's, Gaalsien detail, and the heresy war in good time as will its easy to follow good work.
