Hi I'm using the 3018 Pro but what I'm getting is unwanted cut lines that are spoiling the projects as the cutter is moving from different areas of the engraving ant idea what I can do to prevent this
After recently changing my laptop, xcarve won't connect. I bought a used laptop using Windows 10 to update the driver, but I can't connect it with USB. Can't find port.
Brandon, Can you explain your choice of bit for this cabinet (upcut) in plywood. Didn't you get tearout on the upper and lower cuts? Also, it looked like you used the 1/4" for the MDF Doors... Wouldn't have been better to use a larger bit? I am an XCP 4x4 owner and user.
Great questions! I used a compression bit for the cutout, so the best of both worlds with upcut/downcut. On the MDF it was a 1/4, I could have stepped that up to save time, I didn't think of it at the time!
Cabinet option is currently Beta and you have to request access. It would likely work fine on regular xcarve but your feeds and speeds will be much lower (slower)
