Design blending is a very useful and powerful skill. It allows you to flow from one design to the next creating an incredible texture. Today I selected two patterns: swirls, because I love them and feather plums but only half of them….I hope you will like it!
I also added some nice music @liborioconti . It is relaxing, meditative and it is similar to the music I listen to when I quilt. I hope you like it 😊

@@quiltingnerd I have a long arm and I still quilt on my domestic as well. You just don’t have the range if motion with a domestic. You do beautiful difficult designs with yours. Its impressive!

Thank you for those words! When I show phots of my work to other quilter they have problems to believe it is domestic machine. It took me some time to translate the advice for long arm so it suits me, but now it works just fine. I hope one day I can try a long arm too, just for fun ❤❤❤@@mariejohns1387

Thank you for sharing this may be easier than an actual feather I have issues with them. And I like that you show your work with a contrasting thread and allow a person to watch and concentrate on the process without a lot of chatter.

Thank you! Thank you! You got me. this is exactly what my videos are about. Not about me but about quilting. Many quilters have problems with feathers because we always see the perfect versions. I quilted a whole quilt just with different types of feathers to understand them better. I was not always happy, but once they were finished and I looked at them suddenly they weere fine. slow down, breath and as you exhale let then unfold. Have a great day!❤❤❤

Hi! This design is not popular but it is popping up here and there. I like it and I came up with some varaiations while making this video. I had actuallly a different one prepared but was not happy with it. I quilted this one in the last moment. Again, it was ma quilting therapy. I was tired and frustrated and needed something positive. Half an hour later I was a different woman. Try it out! It is fun and had a great rythm. Thank you again for your wonderful comment!!!!❤❤❤

Hi there, Thank you for this awsome feedback. Happy to hear it. I make my videos at the actual speed, try to repeat a lot, show different situations and how to handle them and talk as little as possible. I learned the best from such videos in the past!Let me know how quilting is going!❤❤❤

Music, Math, and Quilting appeal to my creative nature. I love your pattern. I am just beginning to FMQ. So I'll practice this lovely design. Your friend from New Mexico, Carla 🎶💖💐

Hi Carla, It seems you are my kind of woman. I like math, statistics, and I think PI is a proof of Higher Power. Quilting agrees with as. There is symmetry, order, harmony (if required) and enough chaos to make it fascinating and addictive....Let me know how it goes!❤❤❤

Baby quilts are perfect. When war on Ukraine started my quilting friends joined me in making baby quilts. We made more than 50 but we had to get effective so I learned how to quilt large patterns! Perfect size, perfect practicing area and good for us as well!!!! And all the constants are incredible. Avogardro number, another one. ... We are such nerds😍😜❤❤❤❤@@carlaatkins2619

Thank you so much for your incredible content. I could never afford a long arm, so I am very grateful that you are showing us how to quilt on our domestic machines. What kind of batting do you use? My quilts always seem so flat. The unquilted portions of your quilt seem to be "fluffier" than mine. Just wondering. Thanks, again.

Hi there! thank you for your comment. I know how it is. I love quilts and I always wanted to quilt them. I even don't have space for a long arm so I learned to do with this what I can have. For my use it is enough. I am using Hobbs 80/20, soya/bamboo mix , sometimes thin quilters dream. Some time ago I had great wool but I cannot buy it anymore. And you can always try two layers ❤❤❤

That looks beautiful, your art is really stunning. I wonder if you also quilt larger quilts like throw, queen, or king sizes? Or do you use the quilt as you go technique for large quilts?
@quiltingnerd
@quiltingnerd Год назад
Thank you! I do quilt large quilts. King and Queen sizes as well. I made one or two QAYG and it was fun, yet I am more for a traditional quilts. Just finished one recently. I rarely show how I quilt large quilts as the thread-material contrast is not that good for camera. And the arrangement! I quilt on a sit down so it is a bit of a construction side . But it works. I made one video last year showing how I do it.
