Pausing the video to say WHAT A GREAT FIRST TIP!!!!! As many design videos as I’ve watched it just now dawned on me that when I’m going to design a space, THE FIRST THING I SHOULD FIGURE OUT IS what is my color palette going to be? I’ve seen many looks that I like and colors, but never just had that AHA moment where I thought “let me pick the color and go from there.” It was always just “the look” that was top of mind. It’s true tho that when you now go into a store with color palette in mind, it helps things jump out at you that could work for your space.

I was in shock to see Valentina and Jack and I acted like a 16 year old meeting her favorite rock star crush.🤣I felt so stupid after because I said to her "You do have great legs!! My local ikea is about 300 miles away in Atlanta or Houston so I appreciate your tours. One would think that with such a huge port we might have one here or in Baton Rouge.They do ship but I haven't figured out all the logistics to get the items I want. Perhaps someday...

I love your abstract art pieces, my daughter and I (she is 7) painted something for my husband's home office, we had seen a painting we liked in a magazine, it needed to be a specific size and so we bought a canvas and a tube of acrilic paint. We used masking tape to make some of the shapes and it looks identical to the inspiration photo 👌☺️.

I would love a video with focus on using throws. How to style them, on chairs vs bed, also fabric contents and pairing with different styles, and things to avoid because it won't last. PB has a new heavily cabled throw that I wonder if it's even foldable and stylable.

Heyy V! I am Mr. and Mrs. on the Amazon lives. I had a legit question about the baskets😅. I am having a hard time styling my entry way table and it is by a closet. I keep hearing to put baskets under the table. I noticed you didn't have any on your console table yesterday. Do you think minimizing baskets is the direction the styling world is going? Valentina, as always, I enjoyed your video. Could you share some specific color palettes with one's already painted / enameled trim colors? Mine specifically is BENJAMIN MOORE LINEN WHITE oil base paint (enamel) all throughout the house. When we built our home in 2004, we used their color of the year (a light golden neutral) in our kitchen and painted other similar colors throughout the main floor, foyer going upstairs, and the upper level hallway but then allowed the older two kids to choose their bedroom paint color. Since we're empty nesters, it's way past time I reclaim those rooms too. Your input is much appreciated. 💕 First Lady of Greenfield

I'm concerned that you never mention the beauty and necessity of actual personal items displayed in one's home. Your home doesn't seem to have personal items. I can't imagine a colder or more soulless space than a hotel room. Why do you encourage people to emulate that? I understand your need to constantly promote merchandise but our world needs people who have heart rather than such an impersonal 'hotel' approach to living. I hope you'll consider my words.

Staging a home to sell and decorating a home to live in are totally different. I love color but I used to always paint my home neutral colors " for the next possible buyer". Now I paint and decorate to please myself.
