Teleportation just aint worth it Follow this stuff if you want / coremaster23 / coremaster01 Follow DeSinc if you have not already? / desinc / super6plx
Same thing with falling asleep and waking up. Who's to say that death is nothing more than uninterrupted consciousness? Basically some idiot was ok with dying last night and now I am born :]
Well if you think about it Sleeping is consciousness teleportation from this world to another And then when the time comes your consciousness teleports back and you gain body control if you believe in hell and heaven Then the actual death is one time use consciousness teleportation to either to hell or heaven That's why some say it's a long sleep but you don't wake up
maybe your clone is not a clone it's still you but you didn't realize you just traveled faster than the speed of light, so while you traveled you die but you getting reset cause you were traveling faster than the light and so you traveled through time... and my brain is melting away now.
Two kinds of teleportation. Either 1: All the parts of you are broken down, moved, and reassembled, neuron for neuron etc, in exactly the same orientation, in this case, the exact same matter that was thinking and conscious in one location is now in the new location in the exact same configuration, I think that's fine. That'd be akin to dying on the table and being brought back. You're still you, same consciousness, everything. 2: You're broken down, essentially scanned, and a copy of your matter is created at the next location. That's the fucked one, cause that is just basically cloning, and it's created a new you.
and in 2, the best case scenario is that the previous guy dies, because if he didn't, there'd be two of you walking around, or possibly more. also what counts as your consciousness? i think if you have all your memories intact out the other end, you're you, bonus points if your physical body is exactly the same too. but knowing corpos, they'd probably only replicate your recent memories immediately prior to your teleportation, to give you the illusion of continuation
It gets especially weird if you think about trying to find out if the pre teleport dude died because if you ask the teleported guy if anything happens he would say everything worked out properly
If you follow the idea that consciousness is an outer soul or body that inhabits your physical form, then the body might be lost but your consciousness carries on in all the other bodies you have. that, or each consciousness of yours really are separate from each other, but have some level of communication. How else would a newly constructed body know what'd previously happened if it had its own conscience.
i accidentally muted when desinc said the thing about dying and going into creative, so i thought that coremaster just ignored him for like a solid 10 sec
But I mean, we don't experience death. So basically it don't matter if you survive the transportation or not. If you don't, you won't even see the end-result. There's no eternal darkness, you just get stopped like a cpu process. Or deleted. And so the only valid consciousness of yours would be the one of clone. Which is completely the same as you, so not even you would care at that point. Or something like that.
That is why we assume cloning is immoral if it's beyond just a copy of genetics. Star Wars clones are just normal, but with the same body. But having memories stored is just a fuckfest of who is real and why.
There are many types of teleportation. 1. Disassemble, reassemble 2. Clone, kill the OG 3. You go to a parallel universe, similar to time travel logic.
Not even taking into account accidental Telefragging/clipping or changes in altitude/air pressure, even if you ARE the clone? And what about clothes and luggage?
