Every season of Desperate Housewives has her own 'mystery theme', that we can hear sometimes in the scenes about the season mystery.
Season 1:
The theme appears in episodes 1x08 and 1x23. The final twist comes from 1x03.
Season 2:
This theme only appears in 2x01 but it's the only music we could describe as the Applewhite's mystery theme.
Season 3:
This short theme appears at the end of 3x01, 3x10 and 3x15.
Season 4:
The theme appears in 4x01, 4x02, 4x03, 4x04, 4x07, 4x10 and 4x17
Season 5:
The theme appears in 5x01 and probably others, i'll search later ^^
Season 6:
The theme is a mix of 6x01 and 6x02 endings. It only appears once.
Season 7:
The theme appears in 6x23, 7x01 and 7x10.
Season 6:
The theme appears in 8x01, 8x02, 8x06, 8x10 and 8x14.

He has my favorite of all the mysteries, I'm on my third re-watch of the show and that fire episode is still just as good as when I first saw it.

Love how different variations of the main season themes are remixed and tweaked throughout the episodes. But I've got to say, Paul's mystery theme can be heard at the end of 7x01 & 7x05, and throughout a lot of the season 7 episodes ;-) Paul's theme in this video was actually first heard when Orson had his flashback in the beginning of 3x15, when he pushed Gloria into the grave.

+bar19872013 Yes, and the Season 6 theme can also be heard in 6x17 when Angie and her mother are talking ;) I also love that a reccurent score from the season 3 was re-used in 7x12

@@fakeblue48 Can i say that Betty applewhite's theme even though her arc was weak and rushed, had an amazing sountdrack? the sole piece accumulates both her wits and sinister secret but also projects the warmth and anxiety she had for her children
