Elizabeth ‘Libby’ Stanley built a career creating finely-detailed illustrations for children’s books. When she contracted meningococcal eight years ago, she endured four amputations, including the loss of her dominant right hand. Using her partially-amputated left hand, Libby adapted her technique, style and approach to art, using a computer tablet, a stylus and painting software. Now Libby creates artwork to raise money for the RSPCA, a continuation of her identity as working artist.
