The list of people that have helped tear apart the pale heart gets longer every day. It's been nice to see the community come together like this. I know there's been a lot of negative feedback around how hard routes have gotten in the pale heart, but honestly I'm really enjoying having my skills (and patience) tested like this. It's really encouraging me to look at the game in different ways, and I hope it does for others too.
The part at the end must make this the most anxiety inducing Froggy video ever lol I can't imagine how much time everyone spends on finding all these routes
My guess is that it isnt so much that mantling is explicitly added, and more so that mantle maps have to be actively generated for an area, and having too much of a mantle map would just not be sensible. Most likely what they do is that they run an algorithm over an entire map to generate any valid mantle ledge and if the player collides with that generated mantle map they can mantle it
Also the mountain looks like it is just comprised of a shadow map, or something close to it - maybe a normal map. So... thats what my guess is for why it looks so cell shaded
@@shizounu2480 it would be very strange if this was the case.. i don't see why the game would need an extra 'mantle map' when it already has one set of collision data that the mantle system could use. but, it's already strange enough that it only works specifically in box. so maybe you're right and this is an engine quirk or something. ig only a very small amount of bungie devs would know for sure.
@@Froggy618157725 nah lol it's all good. I don't even think I saw it in your inventory. Can't predict these things to happen. Swapping to special sword for pity ammo was a solid clutch though. Maybe keep a kinetic special with autoloading in case it comes up again, so that you don't have to lose height reloading.
Hey Froggy, was able to get into Dual Destiny from patrol the other day. Not sure if you already knew about it but if not I can elaborate. Keep up the good work :)
@@DanYami yup. Blink literally does nothing out of box. Including some areas that are in map. Like the confluence hubs in Dreaming City before you hit the Confluence proper, since there is a box, but the teleporter takes you out of it.
