Took me a while to realize this but this is just a guess: Since we only see 1 harpy and 1 minotaur the height of a boss, come out from the portal... The harpy is Consecrated Mind and the minotaur is Sanctified Mind. But this is them before they came contact with the Darkness that is/was in Garden of Salvation, the raid that they released.

THEORY: Bungie wouldn't call this "Season of the Undying" by coincidence; there was a Vex boss in D1 named the Undying Mind, which was trying to resurrect the Black Garden's heart. Let's consider what we know from the past four years: - Oryx took Quria, the first known Vex Axis Mind in our dimension. - Quria has demonstrated the ability to simulate someone's past from the barest scraps of information retrieved by the Vex Gate Network. - Quria was gifted to Savathun by Oryx. - Savathun has been heavily implied to be ruling the Hive and Taken since D2 dropped, and started the chain of events in Forsaken that led to her cyclically gaining more power every three weeks in the Dreaming City. CONCLUSION: Savathun has tapped into Quria's paracausal powers, and can simulate our worst enemies from whatever observations the Vex have made about us. After all, we've been in proximity to Gates on Venus, Mars, Mercury, Nessus, and Io, which were epicenters of major conflicts. The Vex are always watching...

Destiny 2 has gone from being one of the worst game purchases ive ever made to one of the best games ive ever played over the past few years. So hyped for shadowkeep and the new season!

Finally the Vex get to redeem themselves from the mess that was Curse of Osiris

I love these older Vex models, I really wish they would explore the origins and give a proper main line villain to the neutral vex who aren't commanded by the light or dark.

This is probably the best cutscene I have ever seen. Beautifully crafted. 10 out of 10. Please make more of these bungie.

"The Vex will do anything to protect the Black Garden." Well, they didn't do a very good job. We basically just walked in, shot the heart, and walked out. Super easy, barely an inconvenience.

I remember this being leaked years ago

This trailer gives us SO MUCH information on how the Vex are created and I love it. I love that we have some concrete evidence to support that they're the life form in the white goo, and that it's really been visualized. Vex are just mini-mechs for a race much more powerful, and smaller than our own. Fascinating!

This is one of the best trailers ever, Vex are one of my favorite species in Destiny 2 and to see this is amazing.

Psyched, love the vex (to kill and lore wise) VoG was easily my fav raid and I feel like they've been hyped up to be super dangerous but not really done alot to Warren it hopefully they get the love they deserve!

I imagine their reference point for what radiolaria looks underwater is Cozmo just came in a jar and handed it to the CGI department.
