Destiny House of Wolves: Prison of Elders Level 35 - Skolas Kill and Loot (Solar Burn) 

It's nice to relive the memories of having fun in challenging encounters. Wish prison was remade in D2, one of the best memories for me

@@robuu5890 back when legendary’s were actually legendary and hard to grind. Had to use rare’s to increase light level. Crazy how we went from 34 light and we are now over 2000 light

That's how it was man. Shit wasnt easy but 9 hours is definitely a bit much lol took my fireteam 4 hours first time we beat it.

Datto doesn't like doing that cuz it takes strategy and fun outta the fight.

DESTINY 2 IS AMAZING AND IS ON THE COMEBACK NOW

LAUDIE My team did it in less than a minute. We all had gjallarhorn. All we di was run straight to the left, where they make the kill in this video. We shotgunned the servitor and unloaded 7 rockets each into skolas. At this point he was getting up to the platform but he was at 50% health. We all used a synth then I got marked. At the same time as I got marked, the first mine came up on the furthest place from where we were standing, right side of the room as you come in. I ran to that mine and defused it and then sent two rockets back at skolas by jumping and firing at him from ages away. The other two guys unloaded another 7 rockets each and that was it. No more enemies spawned, the current enemies died with skolas. We just had to diffuse 5 more mines as they came up because we killed him so quickly that the rest of the mines didn't have time to spawn before he died. After they were diffused we finished the encounter. We had 2 self rez warlocks and a golden gun hunter, all level 34. The way they did it in this video is literally the hardest possible way to do this encounter due to the solar burn and skolas just about 1 shotting you.

The gunsling with that new chest that gives one shot but 6x damage would've wrecked the boss in that specific situation because of solar burn. I guess it just depends.

John Cummings it's not a pain they just did it the painful way. if you keep shooting him with 365 Ghorn and Weapons of light it will take you a minute or less.

Jack Allen We just couldn't do it. We just didn't play well, I had plenty of fuck ups and doing the wait for 10 minutes for heavy synths to spam Ghorn to kill him in a minute isn't really stream friendly (lots of down time, people get mad, etc.). Two other groups in MC just did the Ghorn spam strat and it was the most underwhelming conclusion to anything they've done in this game (as said by them). We also had some down time, taking breaks, rotating in new people, bringing them up to speed, so, yeah. Just didn't play well, thought the Ghorn synth strat was a lame way to end it.

Xerohs No, it was because of the solar that they were failing. The captains were 1 shoting them with solar damage.

Firestorm im pretty sure the bosses will always have the same modifier but if there's no boss then yes it's random. When you face that weird shield cabal boss im pretty sure its always juggler and when you face skolas or that giant swordbearer thing it's always solar burn but otherwise it's random.

The casuals are just constantly complaining on the forums if any activity, whether PvE and especially PvP is too challenging.

@@brobdignagian6529 Bungie forums and reddit its non stop raging about this and that. As a PVPèr the amount off complaints its a mad to see. The revoker was a great thing i have to say for the general players but even that was not good enough. If D2 was at the D1 levels off difficulty, i cant imagine the storm community would raise.

When D2 was announced with the partnership with activision we could smell a different game. D2 became to rewarding,to easy, to much cheesing. Now Bungie have control again they want back to D1 hardcore gamers. I think from shadowkeep the community will to scream and beg for content to not be that hard. Bungie will slowly grow into the hardcore gameplay and thats good. When the game becomes to easy i fell off. I play mostly pvp but theres to much shit that makes the game like an ingame cheat options.

Yes but the Prison of Elders is a "Trial by Combat (Until the prisoner is dead)" sort of thing.

Exactly you capture him and he's put in the prison of elders hence the prison part

Cole Jenkins exactly, I almost didn't want to say it ...especially on Dattos channel...but I have just seen it so much in Destiny.People kill their content as fast as they can and then trash the game. Personally I could have been 34 yesterday, because I had a vault full of Engrams/ commendations and Post master full of packages... But honestly, I really truly love this game. I wanna pace myself and squeeze as much enjoyment as I can. We all have to wait until Comet. Which is brutal...because it comes out this fall.

Jonathan Koldys Datto has never really bitched about Destiny. In fact, his criticism is only positive towards the game as he wants it to grow (even a raid concept!). He just wants to be competitive with the game, and I agree that if he complained it would be stupid.

@@zeke7651 primary raid weapons had elemental damage. Then they turned them into exotics. D2 got rid of it entirely as it was kinda broken tbh.
