My bum ass waited all day to play this junk at 12am and now they say it's going to be live at 5am GameStop had a midnight release for no reason, who the hell is going to play this shit at 5am come on cuh
+Follower of Aleksism that logic literally makes no sense. you can't gauge fun vs dollar amount because it's relative to the demographic. but having played both destiny and MMOs I can say that I'd rather pay 30 dollars for a whole new story line, geography, and added class structures than pay 40 dollars for something that was included in the original game but taken out.
Keith Daugherty You must not be able to read if you couldn't understand that. Or if it really made no sense then you lack the intelligence to make sense of it. Also, everything you just said about what you'd rather have is basically everything that the Destiny expansion has...
+Minato Namikaze There are tons of videos showing that there was a lot og stripped content from the game as well. I dunno how much was Bungie and how much was Activision
+pattyshack19 bungie wanted everything to be in it day one and they would create new material, but activision decided to split those parts into dlc's for extra money. #BlameActivision
Those cards you see are actually Cayde's cards to tell from the company who made the exotic he's staching. I don't know which is which bit before you use the booster in Caydes Stache mission you can go into a ventilation area and he will tell you when you scan the fallen cache.
The cards represent cayde's stash of weapons and glimmer as you will see in the taken king he has a hidden stash that you acess through a vent and they're a jack of trades in there and you can scan it
Phobos is one of mars's 2 moons, it does not orbit Saturn nor does it come anywhere close to it. So the hand draw photo is in fact from the dreadnought.
I think the cards are a reference to cades cards in one of his missions and you can find a secret card which is a queen but he does not tell you why it's in his vault it's in the stelf drive level for anyone who wants to check it out and I think the king is cade
I like that they did it this way. I don't feel bad for skipping this. I have the original Collector's Edition and the steelbook case is the same. My book has images and info on exotic weapons. Still cool.
Can anyone answer this please. For the legendary edition or the collectors edition, is the TTK pre-loaded onto the disk along with the base game? Or is the disk just the base game and the expansions are codes? Any answers are appreciated.
Those cards are on the floor on one of the taken king story missions.right before you go on the bridge look on the floor in front of the desk next to the entrance to the bridge
hey guys so I heard destiny improved alot so should I get the taken king ? what is the difference between the original and taken king? is any of them worth getting?
I have a question: If I buy this will I keep all my characters from the original destiny game, because I never brought any of the DLC for it, but if I buy this it'll be cheaper but I do not want to start from scratch with a new character.
I'm getting the Collectors Edition and I don't have an original copy of the game so this will be my first purchase made from Destiny. Do I need the original game to play the Collectors Edition?
Destiny should have it's own casino like social space where you could play with cards sort of like Gwent on Witcher, make it playable also on the mobile app in order to farm marks or materials whatever. Also make space battles, your ship must be useful for something...
I bought year 1 limited edition. I won't buy this one,but I think it is cool. The reason they made this is because taken king is is big enough to be a game. They don't want to make a whole new game if they want to continue with the game is being developed.
All bungie did was extend the current maps, tweak the AI to move more, combined all the enemies to one group, AND NERFED ALL THE GEAR; which was well worth the $15 I paid for it from gamestop.
is this like a sequal to Destiny or will this have all the DLC and campaign missions from the original Destiny disk or do I have to buy the 2 separate games... I never played Destiny but this looks interesting any one help please
+rick760199 buy the taken king legendary edition, it's 50 euro where I live and it gives you the game with all of the dlcs (including taken king). It's worth it man
I'm just going to go out on a limb and say that destiny year two was not a waste of money. Be honest, most prices of games nowadays are around 50 to 60 dollars (Note I'm talking about Legendary Edition, not Collectors) And destiny legendary edition costs 60 dollars. This includes destiny base game, The Dark Below, House of Wolves, and The Taken King. The taken king is by far the best expansion. If you just play the "up front" storyline (Like the main campaign of the vanilla) You will be pretty disappointed. However if you dig deep into the Grimoire (Excuse my spelling) cards, and the long quests.Thats when you enjoy the taken king. And no, I'm not a "Biased Halo fanboy" I have both halo and Destiny. But I also have Cod, Battlefield, Tomb Raider, The Witcher, and yes, many more. so this is my opinion. I don't get why people hate on this game. Sure the story was a but "bland" But do you really care about the story or the gameplay. But yes, the crucible is kinda crappy..... PvE Fo life!
+Aiden English are you forgetting the base game acutally costs money on release. and the other 2 DLCs? so in total the net worth of year one players for the game is upwards of $120-140 bucks. when is reality they shouldve put all this in the base game and sold it for $60 and just release sequels that are actually worth their weight.
I am going to use my wizard powers and go on a limb. In the cayde stash mission there is a joker or some card on the control panel for the bridge and cayde talks about how it took him 2 days to turn on the bridge then he said the fallen must've broken the panel so either cayde or the fallen put the card on the panel.
U cant get it pre owned co the game is literally destiny year 1 on a disc with a couple codes included in the box for the actual taken king stuff, so u would ofcourse have to buy it new foe the codes to work, and considering not even the dark below is discounted yet, u could be waiting a while
+randomsimplemovies im gonna get it on black friday if thats the case, already got the game digitally with a friend and we share games or any digital content at that, so if taken king and the rest of the dlc are on a code on the box thats the way to go
The taken king is basically what Destiny SHOULD have been from day 1, as much as i want the strange coin to go along side my ghost statue, its pretty stupid that half of the stuff i dont need IE copy of the original game, the dark below and the house of wolfs exspansions because all that stuff came with the original CE :S
Should i buy the DLC? Ive played long and i really want something new. Comment down below what you thimk is cool about the DLC and if i should but it, Thanks :)
SPOILER ALERT: I did a mission that Cayde-6 sent me on to retrieve a stealth drive for the ship to... anyway, when we (me and my friends) found it, there was a that blue Joker type of card on the floor! I wonder if Reddit knows of this already. Credit me if you post please :D
Ok, so help me guys...I`m on the verge of bying destiny. But is this a new game or simply DLC? If i buy this game, will i be able to play vanilla destiny and it`s DLC`s or just this thing? Also, do i need the vanilla destiny to buy/play this?
