So many references to pop culture, politics of the timeline, and adult jokes... "You realize the player's in the kitchen making nachos at this point, right?" was a fun one. There was a couple lines from the first game I remember fondly. If you just leave the mothership menu alone, Pox gets very angry and is practically beating on the fourth wall like a pissed off orangutan.
@i hate anime Check 1:05. After the first game, Orthopox and Crypto were able to harvest the pure Furon DNA from American citizens. With that, the next Crypto clone was genetically altered to have genitals.
This game was my childhood. Well, this and the first game. Also, as a side note, I have always noticed Ponzy's arm sticks out at 47:00. First time I played this game I thought it was an intentional clue that he and Natasha where working together in secrecy, but after I had beaten the game I realized it was a screwup by the developers.
TheHylianJuggalo My thoughts exactly, this topped the first one in every way. If they remake it the same way they did the first game it would be ridiculous
Just finished this on PS4, just as fun as I remembered when I was a kid, but damn there are so many jokes I didn't get that I found much funnier now. Game feels much shorter now, but I don't know if that's because I used to piss around so much with the dislocator gun, or because I was a kid and time seems to move slower as a kid.
@@Robert53area Yeah, I recall the game being much harder. I beat the game and went... "Thats the moon missions?" Think I could count them all on one hand but I haven't touched DAH2 since.
D.DoT-Z he has those massive eyes, so he can be far more expressive than one of the humans. Mixed with the good writing makes him a great character. I’m excited to see the remake and see how well they do with making him more expressive and maybe add more missions for the fun.
I can’t help but think that Richard Steven took inspiration and tapped into his Zim role when voice acting Pox, you could honestly play a line from the show and someone who’s never watched Invader Zim would think it was from this game, they sound and act so similar I love it.
snowflake NPC I’m also pretty sure that’s not how it works. You see, I’m black and I actually found that quote very funny and badass. (Even as a child) I never thought of the line as a “offensive” term. These “racist” words you speak of doesn’t even mean much to me anymore- *_Just saying-_*
@@bakeryamaker1025 monkeu refers to all humans in this game since we ALL evovled from them. you calling it racist means you think of a particular race when monkey is mentioned. now who's the racist again??
Oh they would not only hate Crypto but the company who made DAH too cause they gave birth to one of gaming's most hilarious, anger filled, sexist, jackass alien to grace this earth with his hilarious dialogue.
@@ellnats no man noo you dont understand their on my shit list right under racist and Nazis!!! Especially nazis......thank god for wolfeinstein it helps with the itch if only they added s lynch mob feature heh now i gotta get this game on psn to help with the itchy trigger finger!!!! Hang on krypto 138 im coming home!!!!
To be honest this must be the best game out of all four of them in my opinion it's so fun to play and he has lots of great dialogue in the game and great missions
@@darthlazurus4382 maybe I'm just rooting for Russians. I still I've America and I'll never be a commie but when it comes to humanity vs aliens, humanity is my choice, no exceptions
She asked if Crypto's saucer could get them to the moon? Did she think he was just a very ugly looking American!? OF COURSE, THEY CAN GET TO THE MOON! He is from another freaking galaxy!! Channelled my inner Orthodox there
@@InfiniVid I'm sure they will, though they'll likely be no new voice clips for Milenkov since his voice actor; Jim Ward is retired due to having Alzheimer's and COVID, unless there were some unused voice clips from the original that will be restored in the remake
@OsamaBeenLagging The Magikarp ....To me he just sounds like a Jack Nicholson impersonator 24/7..... I think that was their intention for the Alien's voice. Edit: (time key was a bit off).... No, he just sounds like Chris Farley.
I love the naming conventions of the series. The alien races are named after emotions. Fruons= Fury and Blisk=Bliss. The Fruon names themselves are all named after diseases. Cryptosporidium is also commonly known as Diarrhea. Pox should be obvious, but they also have a Janitor named Gastro and an emperor named Meningitis.
the trailer has been getting alot of views, so hopefully alot of people play it and its $40 ($30 on steam) so people will see its not as expensive as other new releases and buy it
Basically it starts off with Crypto having to Get as much human brains as possible due to humanity in the world of Dah Having strands of Furon DNA in them, reason being because the furons can no longer reproduce normally. Due to cloning wiping out their Genitalia.
There's a separate cutscene when entering Bongwater's lair if you do it through the tunnel. It's just Crypto looking behind himself to see the doors shut but still it's there.
Is it weird that I like this game more than the first one? I like Natalya as Crypo's human ally and lover, the blisk as the big bads, and James Bond-esque plot. with the remake I sorta like both equally XD
"You two-bit tinhorn petty tyrant! I FART bigger'n you! You think just because you can keep a few depressed peasants in line you can go toe-to-toe with me? I'm the KING O' THE WORLD! "The MASTER O' DISASTER! The BADDEST DUDE in the WHOLE DAMN TOWN!" "KING KONG AIN'T GOT NOTHIN' ON ME!"
I see them making the multiplayer online and not having that annoying leash that prevents the 2 players from walking more that 10 feet apart from eachother
12:35 I never understood this when I was a kid, but only now that I realize the reason Coyote Bongwater does this was that he's possibly a Vietnam veteran. Also damn I miss this game.
I've just realized something, the main alien protagonist species have a 1 year life span, crypto 137 clones himself soon as he's knocking on the grim reaper's doorstep.
Poxy: Actually, I want you to read its mind and intuit the source of its cognitive dissonance... so we can get it some help and, over time, teach it confidence and self-esteem. Me: ... Are you kidding me? Poxy: Of course I am, you Mutation! Now go kill that thing! Honestly, he got me good with that one.
